Comment : A few months ago, I purchased a 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan from Car Max. I also purchased the MaxCare Extended Service Plan. MaxCare has a network of repair facilities available which they call Repair Pal. Fred Drake Automotive in New Castle County, Delaware is a Repair Pal Facility. I have been to their facility a few times and have been very satisfied each time. My service advisor is Kevin Ramos. Kevin is a great guy. I enjoy working with him and talking to him. I have also had a chance to chat with other members of the staff there. They are all very nice.
I have nothing but good things to say about Fred Drake Automotive.

Comment : Fred and Charlie in the Auto Body shop are my heroes! I had a minor scrape on my suv for which a national chain wanted to charge almost $3000. They proposed removing the door to paint it with a slick, detailed five page computer generated estimate. Fred Drake’s was no frills, no gimmicks. They buffed the surface restoring it to its original shine and replaced a piece of trim for 15 times less the cost! The guys were honest, affordable and real people to work with.

Comment : My boyfriend and I were driving down to the beach for the weekend when we had major car trouble and had to call AAA. The car was towed to Fred Drake's, and we’re so grateful that’s where we ended up. I also had my dog with me, and while the mechanics spoke with my boyfriend about the car, the women at the front desk and the owner were incredibly hospitable—offering us water, coffee, snacks, and even bringing out a large bowl of water for my dog.

Although they weren’t able to fix the issue and we eventually had to take the car to another shop, they gave us a comfortable place to stay for a couple of hours while we figured out our next steps. Their kindness and professionalism really made a stressful situation so much easier. I will absolutely go out of my way to come back to this shop for any future car repairs.

Comment : Yes, they were nice. I asked them if they could do some body work and they responded positively and asked me to provide my contact info. They stated it was their way to connect with me. I accommodated and waited for weeks and they never connected. I'll never go back to them. This was a few years ago but they are the same players now. I gladly throw their ads in the trash. Not recycling.
