Comment : We took our Optima in for an oil change and were able to drop it off and pick it up the same day. The assistant in the office even made me a coffee while I waited in the lobby. There were no issues or problems with the services, and I was happy to get this done on my day off without needing an appointment. The oil change price was reasonable, and since it was in town, I didn't have to drive out of town to get it done. I also received a thank you card from the business owner in the mail!

Comment : I was having car issues on a long road trip (10,000+ miles) and decided to check my car in at Franks immediately after getting out of Yosemite National Park. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodated me as a traveler with no where to go while they looked at my car. I told them what I thought was the issue from a mechanic I had already gotten a diagnostic from. They still charged me the $194 to diagnose the same issue with the car that I already knew (I understand this is kind of a necessary evil). They went next to changing a part out for $496 to see if it'd fix the issue, I asked them if they had tested the old part before the replacement and they said yes, without any proof of this being done, even though they were transparent about most of everything that was done on the car. They told me the change did not fix the issue and recommended me to replace the whole engine for $13,000. When I asked about just taking my chances on the road they highly recommended I don't do that, saying it would definitely seize on the road. As I was stranded far away with no where to stay in Tulare, a week long engine swap for $13,000 was not an option for me. I checked it out of the shop noticing it was running better and drove 5,000 miles all the way back home with no issues (the car to this day is running great). As a customer I am torn, on one hand Franks staff is nice but on the other hand I cannot overlook the service being done as a scam and scare tactic. Ultimately I cannot recommend Franks shop to anyone unless you are desperate and stranded.

Comment : I’ve had work done on my truck 3 times and have taken it to Frank’s Automotive. I won’t let anyone else touch my truck. This entire team is awesome! Everyone is genuinely kind and very knowledgeable. Everything is explained in detail before, during and after the work is done. You know exactly what’s being done and there’s no surprises. The tech’s know their stuff! These guys are good!!
