Comment : I had a flat tire last Wednesday around 11 am; I was in a pinch and had 30 minutes to call and get a quote from places before my next client. I couldn t wait a couple of days for my insurance to help (terrible concept btw). I called this shop back, and they quoted me a new tire and a tow. I was honest with the person and said, Look, I need this to be as cheap as possible, I already had plans to replace the four tires in the forthcoming weeks. I also just finished replacing the exact tire after hitting a pothole in NOLA a few months prior (from the Midwest, and clearly, I need to get used to the roads in the South). Oscar, with/ First Tire and Automotive, didn t just listen to my concerns, but he heard me. He says, Do you have a spare? If so, let me see if we can come to you, change the tire, to save you the money on a tow. Oscar arrived shortly after and not only changed the tire but also walked me through the steps so I could learn. He did not need to do this, but that shows his character. I left the shop with a new tire and made it in time for my next client.Additionally, I quickly noticed the tire pressure dropping faster than it should have. So, I called the shop, and they got me in right away and found out the valve stem was the issue. They replaced this free of charge. Overall, great experience. I appreciate shops like this that keep it real and know how to make money while considering customer situations. I expressed my needs, and they listened. From the person at the front (I never got his name), Oscar, and others in passing, everybody was genuine, kind, and doing their jobs well.
