Took 1996 f350 in for passenger door windows and cruise control diagnose. 5 weeks later called said they only got the passenger windows fixed. So I go to get my truck. Bill was over $700. Was told they couldn’t figure out cruise control. I thought bill was higher than giraffe pu$$y for just passenger window. I go get in my truck press button to go down on wi die nothing works. I go back in ask thought truck was fixed he gives me Louisana look like it’s not???? Then after walking him outside to show him not working he asks how long I’m gonna be around town. As I travel for work. I politely told him not long enough to bring it back to you guys worthless is an understatement. 4 weeks later I get in truck to head north to home state of Missouri and truck won’t start and I had problems with it the whole way home. I get home removed door cover on passenger door and looks to me like all the did was apply grease on the window arm. Not sure how they removed door motor or tested with evident can reach access it. I’ll fix it myself and I didn’t have time working out of state down there. But please do yourself favor do not take anything here to get worked on. Unfortunately I would have had better luck keeping my car where it was. When I initially got in touch with Mike he quoted me at $7,300 and 3 weeks for repairs. 2 months later they still hadn’t even gotten my car into the shop and they never told me anything. I had to call multiple times and then go in person when they wouldn’t answer their phone just to find out about this. After finally getting my car into the shop they told me the price of repairs would now be $9,400. I paid the $3,000 deposit that was required before they started working, which should have left $6,400 owed. A month later I went back and they still hadn’t finished my car so I negotiated the price down because of the wait time and poor communication from the business. Daniel (the general manager) agreed to $8,000 total which should have left $5,000 owed even though the “3 week” repairs took them 4 months to do. However, when we showed up to pay the remaining price they tried to charge us $8,000 in addition to the $3,000 deposit for a grand total of $11,000. The number 11,000 was never mentioned to me or my wife AT ALL, so I expressed that he was not honoring our agreement and that I didn’t want to pay more than the agreed upon price. With Mike, Chris, and KB in the office staring at me as me and Daniel had our argument about prices, I couldn’t help but wonder if 3 people standing around watching their customers and general manager argue is why they take so long with repairs. From there we decided to leave and come back when we could afford all of it. Well we finally picked it up today and while picking it up had to wait for further repairs because my car wasn’t properly tested before they told me I could pick it up. We had paid before they even did the final testing. I definitely recommend avoiding this place like the plague because their customer service and communication skills are definitely bottom of the barrel and laughable. 1 Reviews Victoria g. Lake Charles, LA Reviewed : 02/23/2025 Comment : Took my vehicle there for a smaller issues and had no problem. However, when I returned for a larger issue it immediately went down hill. I was almost instantly offered a payment plan without even having it looked at, which screams "we are going to charge more because you'll be able to make payments." I straight up told them it sounds like the brakes are worn down to the rotors. I also told them it has a suspension issue that makes a noise that I have already had looked at, that occurs occasionally upon turning. I had chosen not to get that fixed at the time and it was not the same noise as that which was currently happening as it was making noise only upon braking as most cars do when the brake pads/rotors are getting worn. I even said that despite the pads having been looked at a few months ago and being told they are still good, it sounds like it is down to the rotors. At that point I was told it would be $200 for a diagnostic and that would go toward the repair if done there. I understand that not all issues are straight forward and require further inspection/tests that take time, however, I was called about 15 minutes after I left and told that the brakes were worn down to the rotor and the suspension has an issue. Both of which I told them upon dropping it off. Their estimate was about $3000. I called around to a few places and no one was even close to that price. I had the work done for around half that cost. My issue is with the cost being so high and being charged a diagnostic fee for something that took them almost no time to do because I told them what was wrong. They didn't have to figure out anything, it was more of a confirmation at that point. They of course chose to keep the $200 for 15 minutes of looking at what I had lead them to, and still tried to push the payment plan on me as a good option for a repair that was higher than any other quotes. Their justification was that they use quality parts. If that is the case than if it is a normal $1500 job, about half of which is labor, then parts costs should be about $750. So, either their parts cost triple or both their labor and parts are double. Given that they told me it was a parts difference, then I'll go with they charge triple in "better parts", in which case the parts should be taking me out on a nice date as well for that much extra. I also explained that this was an older temporary vehicle until I was in a different situation and no other options for cheaper parts were given.
