Comment : Sadly, the handle and door of my SUV is still broken. I originally brought it in on October 29, 2024. On this latest "repair" pick up my SUV didn't even make it out of their garage after it was "fixed". The door is stuck closed. It won't open with the key or the fob. Joe asked if I could leave it again, but its a source of family transportation. Huge inconvenience to my family.Joe referred me to FAS in La Jolla where they have higher level technicians. I've had to wait more than 10 days to take my SUV to La Jolla as I live in East County and have no transportation to return to my area once I drop off the SUV. I can't imagine the cost of an UBER to get me home.FAS has yet to call to see what's happening with the repair. Again, you'd think that they would care enough about the customer. Carlos, the District Manager has never once reached out to discuss the issue with my car. And, today I was told that Joe moved to their El Cajon location and the new manager knows nothing. A call would have been the right thing to do. Stating that he Joe, would be my service manager until resolution. Again this location FAILS to provide all around customer service. If the handle cannot be repaired correctly further action will be taken.Beware

Comment : I will never be back to this place.. They had my truck for 2 weeks and never once touched it. I showed up Friday(Friday on week 2) to see the progress and the truck was in the very same spot it was dropped off at and the manger Mike said himself they were very busy but when you talk to him on the phone he has 2 people working on it.. we get a call from Mike 4 days (they are closed on Saturday and Sunday)after I show up to say they can not find anything but the truck is not running. This is the worse place I have ever been lie to me on the phone and make me believe the truck is almost done to find out NOTHING has been done..I will never be back to this place.. They had my truck for 2 weeks and never once touched it. Comment : Just moved to San Diego and my son recommended Family Auto Service to me. I'm so glad he did! Had full brake job (pads and rotors) a new tire and ail change completed in no time. Very good prices, very fair management, very friendly service, very fast response. What more could I ask for. Comment : This establishment really helped me out on a tight situation on my Camry. It's the only car I have and they understand the whole sentimental, financial struggle, and professional look on my car. They helped showed me where the problem was on the brakes/foundation of the wheels; I have been told false information/advice from my folks and other auto shops of this case but I'm really glad I chose here of the situation. Family auto service also understood I was struggling independently and they were kind and understanding of adjusting the price I could afford to fix it. I'm relieved that my car nightmare is over and can finally just continue my commuting without the dreadful brakes!

Comment : This place is a rip off. Had my truck towed there since the engine would run but when you put it in drive it would die. They had it for 2 days and finally figured out what it could be. They called and asked me if I wanted them to replace the part and I said sure if it will make it drivable. After the part was replaced it didn't fix the issue. They told me it was the transmission, did I want them to look into it. My transmission was still under warranty from another shop. Family Auto charged me $570 for them to play around and not fix the issue. I was originally told it was going to cost me $190 for diagnosis. I had the truck towed to the transmission shop. After an afternoon of diagnosis, they told me it was the drive shaft sensor. Parts and labor out the door was $190, so not the transmission. Would you take your auto to a shop that charges you not fix your auto? I will not be going back to this shop. The lobby use to have coffee and was a comfortable place to hang out. Now it is barren and the water cooler was empty. My friend went at the same time for an oil change, and it was a 2 hour wait. It's amazing that a 10 minute job can take that long. Guy at the front desk spends a lot of time in the back office and takes forever to over explain what is going on.
