Comment : I brought my vehicle here expecting fair and honest service, but I was disappointed with how everything was handled.

The shop significantly overcharged for parts by adding extra fees on top of already marked-up prices. This became especially noticeable since the work was being processed through an extended warranty. After comparing costs and speaking with others, it’s clear the parts pricing was inflated beyond what’s reasonable.

Communication was also poor—I had to keep calling just to get updates on the status of my vehicle.

When we wanted to get a second opinion before moving forward with any repairs, the shop refused to release the vehicle unless we paid a diagnostic fee, even though we explained we would bring it back. That made the situation even more frustrating.

To make matters worse, the issue doesn’t even appear to have been fixed. As soon as we brought the car home and backed into our driveway, it started making the same noise again.

I understand shops need to make a profit, but excessive markups, added fees, poor communication, and unresolved issues are not acceptable. I recommend others ask for a detailed breakdown and consider getting a second opinion before agreeing to any work here.

Comment : I want to start by saying I already don't trust mechanics, however they just took the cake of why they can't be trusted. I brought my car in to do brakes which at first over the phone they said it would be five to $600. They then told me after they already had the car that it would be $1300 and that I can't drive my car. It will be done Monday or Tuesday.. They Decided not to tell me that they were not open on Monday, but then said they started on the car so they charged me $85 when I went to go get my car back. However, I have never known anybody to start brakes and not finish them so I'm confused of why they said this. I have called the general attorney because this is a pure case of bait and switch. Then the guy at the counter tells me this is why I don't like giving prices over the phone. Well, you shouldn't have because I was trying to price it out with different people and $600 was the cheapest that somebody had given me that that's the only reason why I went there.

Comment : My daughter's car wouldn't start one of the days she was on Spring Break with college friends. This place accepted her car that had to be towed there and said they could have it repaired by the next morning when she had to leave to drive home. It ended up being the starter and they were reasonably priced for the service. They even had her call them when she got home to make sure she made it home safely. As a mom, I really appreciate that they were so accommodating and caring since this was the first time this had ever happened far away from home. Would highly recommend this place to anyone! Thanks for being kind!

Comment : had a fantastic experience with Family Auto. They were able to take me in the same day I called, which I really appreciated. I went in for an oil change, and they also took the time to check my car over thoroughly. The team was incredibly polite, friendly, and very knowledgeable. They walked me through everything they noticed with the car and explained things clearly without any pressure. It's rare to find a shop that is both professional and genuinely accommodating. I truly appreciated how quickly they fit me into their schedule and how well they treated me as a customer. I would absolutely recommend Family Auto to anyone looking for honest, reliable service.

Comment : This was the first visit to Christian Brothers Automotive Westinghouse Road. I made an appointment and requested oil change, state inspection, air and cabin air filters. Dropped the car off and meet with Lance the Service manager. Gave me an estimate and told me they would contact be when vehicle was ready as well as send me updates which it was being service. They sent me texts letting me know the vehicle was in the shop, it passed inspection, oil was changed using synthetic oil, waiting for cabin air filter. I had received a text with a photo letting me know that the engine air filter looked brand new. I usually keep track of things like that but fail to note that I had recently replaced the air filter, my error. When I picked up the vehicle, the air filter charge had been removed. The service was outstanding. If you are looking for a professional, honest, competent, friendly auto service shop, choose CBA, you will be pleasantly surprised. My biggest regret is that it took me so long to find them.
