Comment : My check engine light came on, 4 of them, I went to o ralley to have them looked at, they gave me a code print out and I went to Dusty's to get it serviced. I had planned to go to Dusty's to have my transmission serviced, because I had heard about them from other people. Long story short, The team there were great. Dalton explained what needed to be done and they were great to deal with. Prices were reasonable and customer service was great 😃

Comment : I have a 2009 forester xt limited with a automatic transmission that blew up,so I called dustys to find out if it was rebuildable and talked to Jody about it and he told me to bring it in and they could check it out, so I did and jody said yes it could be rebuilt and that it would come with a 3 year warranty so I had them do the job.We got the car back and it worked great, than it started to have trouble with torque bind so we took it back and they were able to find the problem and fixed it which they coverd under the warranty now it's really smooth and enjoyable to drive, thanks Jody and your team for such great service!!I highly recommend Dustys transmission for any of your transmission needs!!

Comment : I went into Dusty’s in May (over 6 months ago) because my 2006 F150 was bogging a bit at higher speeds and had a feeling it could be my transmission. I found Dusty’s had good reviews so I took it in there for a diagnosis. They were so busy that I felt like they must really be doing something right to have so much business.

They called me back a few hours later saying my truck needed a new transmission and that, if they were me, they wouldn’t drive the truck away from the shop when I said I couldn’t spend $4,000 + right now and wanted to get a second opinion.

I took my truck to a mechanic that I know well and trust that same day. He called me back shortly to tell me my sparks plug were the issue and that he would replace them for under $200 (including labor) and when I picked up my truck, it ran perfectly.

I originally wrote a one star review and got a call immediately from someone at Dusty’s asking “how can we get you to take your review down?”. I asked for all of my money back for the diagnosis which they did and I took my review down.

I wanted to wait long enough to know that it really was just the spark plugs. 10,000 miles later, it still runs great. I almost paid 1/3 of the cost of my truck to get a new transmission, which would not have solved my issue. This review, however, will not be bought to remove.

I own a business myself and pride myself on the honesty and transparency I show to my clients and get wonderful reviews because I’m not just trying to make money. A business that pays people to remove negative reviews is not an honest business. I’m sure when a transmission DOES need to be replaced, they can do it, but I wonder how many other people that are even less mechanically savvy than me have given this company a huge amount of money for a problem they don’t actually have or can be fixed with a much less expensive solution.

I’m hoping this review will encourage others to get a second look or avoid this business altogether.

👇🏼 To respond to your statement — I’m not trying to slander anyone’s business, but what you wrote doesn’t reflect the actual conversation we had. You were not friendly; you were clearly frustrated with me, and you did not offer a refund — I requested one. I’ve only ever left one negative review in my life, and it was because of the way you spoke to me on the phone.

Your tone was not what you’re now describing. It wasn’t a calm, apologetic “I’m so sorry for our mistake, how can we make it right?” conversation. That simply isn’t how it happened. Your response to my review does not align with how you communicated with me at all. You were not friendly or apologetic about the misdiagnosis, and if you had been, I wouldn’t have felt the need to follow up with another review..
