Comment : I was traveling from Georgia to Virginia when my truck broke down. I needed a tow and a new starter. Their tow driver tried fixing it in the spot before he put it on the truck. Once I got to the shop, they gave me top priority. The inspected my car, had the starter in shop, fixed my car, and had me back in the road before the closed shop. Their hospitality was great and they’re very reasonably priced. I would recommend Dun Rite to all of my friends.

Comment : ONE MILLION STARS!!!!!!! 5 is NOT enough!! (long post)

I'd just had some major repair work done by an independent mechanic and there's been a few issues with my car ever since. 4 weeks of paying for a rental car and 2 autoshops for diagnosis later, I reached out to this location and received an incredible amount of help in just a matter of minutes!! In fact, my very first interaction with an extremely nice and knowledgeable woman who works at the front desk (failed to get her name! Please forgive me!) was about a week ago & she spent several minutes on the phone with me just going over everything I was telling her about my car. Just as she did last week when I called, she suggested that I bring my car by today at 2pm as well.

Today I received so much help and knowledge on what is going on with my car by the equally nice and knowledgeable mechanic (who I think is also the owner, I hate that I did not get their names!!). He was able to pinpoint exactly what was going on with my car (exhaust leak) and give me guidance on how to take care of it. He even contacted his other location to see if they had openings (they were both booked all the way through January) but they were still nice enough to suggest some other options to try to get me in beforehand and get me out of a rental sooner if they could.

I am touched by my experience with the professional, genuine staff at this location and if it was feasible for me to wait for them to service my car, I WOULD!! I wanted to give them both a gift card but they respectfully declined, demonstrating that they help people from the kindness of their hearts. This was indeed the one of the BEST experiences I've had with an auto shop. I will ALWAYS recommend Dun-Rite to anyone needing work done on their car and trust me, they are worth every penny!

I knew that Dunrite had a top-notch reputation and great staff before bringing my vehicle in. I can tell you, they exceeded my great expectations! Comment : I can't say enough good things about Dun-Rite Automotive in Florence!!! The knowledge, quality of service, integrity and care is outstanding! A business of this caliber is extremely rare. Mr. Marty upholds a standard of care and compassion that is close to non-existant today. The diagnosis of my truck revealed more than I was prepared for, and mercy was extended to me. They put my safety ahead of their business, and I was blessed. I won't forget it, and will be looking for a way to 'pay it forward.' I'll also travel many miles to bring my truck here for service, and do it with confidence. My truck is running beautifully.Thank you Dun-Rite, Marty & Jessica!

Sept 2025 update: needed front-end/steering column work done. Dun-Rite gave me a quote/timeframe. Picked truck up and was happy to hear they didn't need to do all that was quoted. Total bill less than anticipated... Dun-Rite doesn't charge you for what you don't need!! Awesome service. Thanks again Marty & Team!
