Comment : My experience with Downtown Automotive (DA) was disappointing. They held my car for three days, trying to “diagnose” the issue, but I had to initiate calls for updates since they didn’t provide any proactively. Frustrated, I decided to pick up my car on the third day.

Before I left, they tried to sell me a new battery, even though I had received confirmation from AAA that my battery was fine. Initially, AAA towed my car to DA, but I managed to safely drive it to a local automotive shop where they promptly and accurately diagnosed the problem and completed the necessary service within the same day. (It wasn’t the battery, of course.)

Comment : I have been using the services of Downtown Automotive for about 10 years. I highly recommend Downtown Automotive. When Pat was there, he was my main contact for my Audi Avant A4 wagon and my Mazda Mazda5 micro van. He was always prompt, courteous, frank in his assessment and honest. He retired. But I find Edwin shows the same qualities now. Edwin tells you what the problem is in a way you understand; he does not push products, just a fix; he is calm and courteous; and he knows what he is talking about. Edwin and the shop have serviced a Jeep Cherokee and a Dodge Ram 1500 ProMaster van for me. As you can see from my cars, they work on a range of brands. They have always done excellent work, on time and as promised. Try them. You will not be disappointed.

I gave four rather than five stars because part costs. Their part supplier is either REALLY expensive or they're taking a markup on part costs. I was quoted $833 part cost for a BMW OEM water pump + bolts + coolant, which is more than double any price I can find the exact same part kit online...
