Over the years since I bought my car from you folks, I have received nothing but excellent service. I hope I have made this clear in the past but, just in case, I can't thank you all enough. Your 5 star rating needs to be increased. 1 Reviews E p Dover, NH Reviewed : 04/28/2025 Comment : Extremely easy process. No hassling. Should be a fairly simple process except my wheels are very large and wide given my SUV is a Sport Mercedes AMG SUV which I'll get to in a moment. The tires and wheels are extremely heavy and have to be positioned in my SUV rear with the seat folded down flat and the wheels barely fit after positioning them a certain way. Ok, no major deal, just a hassle, a bit time consuming and very heavy. The reason for the details is relevant to the story given my lengthy conversation with Nick in the service dept. I told him the size of the wheels and tires and I wanted to make sure their equipment was capable of making the swap. After giving him the staggered sizes of the front and rear tires, he said he'd have to double check and call me back with a quote. He did return my call shortly with a quote of $139.95. We also spoke in detail about trying to give my car a complete detail the same day with their cleaning service there for a fee of $280, but of course they couldn't do ALL of that in 1 day, so I'd have to make another appt for that after my tire swap ordeal.I arrive this morning 20 minutes early for appt, as I was going to have to make another trip back to my home to load up the new tires which wouldn't fit in car with the 4 wheels, etc, as I only live 10 mins away. I approached the girl in service dept and told her I was here for my 10am appt and she had an incredulous look as to why I would be there for a tire appt, as their tire machine was broken and they couldn't do any tire work. She looked on the schedule and I was nowhere to be found at 10am or even in the future. I explained my conversation with the person I spoke to and the return call he gave me. She said it would only have been 1 of 3 people that would have answered my call to make the appt, and there and 1 of them was her. I asked for the other names to jog my memory and she said one was Nick as she gestured to a guy sitting at the other desk and I said that was the name 100%. Nick looked up and then down and remained silent. "Possibly you made the appt for me another day accidentally" I asked, and she asked again for my name and number and I was nowhere in the system. "You just had my car fixed in your auto body shop in the same building for 6 weeks last Summer" I explained. "Nope, not in our system at all" she proclaimed. BTW, when I returned home and looked at my quote on my desk for the tire swap, it says "Spoke to Nick" at the top of my notes.Out of frustration I asked why nobody even called me to tell me the tire machine was down and she said "why would we call you if you're not in the system. Also, our tire machine here isn't a touchless machine and it may damage your wheels given the size and we aren't responsible for damage to the wheels during the swapping process."Very frustrating an no apology whatsoever.'> Reviewed : 04/11/2025 Comment : Last Summer I backed into a car in my driveway and dented the back of my SUV and needed bodywork. Nothing major, just a football sized dent in the center of trunk area of my SUV. I was told it would probably take a week to a week and a half to fix but my car hadn't even moved for a week or so in their parking lot. Long story short, it was almost 6 weeks later until I got the call that my car was ready, meanwhile paying for a rental which was covered by my insurance for a month, so I was stuck paying for the rental beyond the 30 days covered by my insurance company. I will say the bodywork was fine and I had no complaints other than the ridiculous 6 week time frame. I decided not to post a negative review, because I rarely do and the front desk person was very friendly throughout the lengthy process.Move forward to this morning with another appt at 10am there to swap my wheels out for Summer tires and wheels, and swap out my bald Summer tires and put them on my Summer wheels and back onto car. From the moment we walked in the entire team was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, professional and not “pushy” with the sale. We felt comfortable through the process because of it.It was raining when we were at the dealership, so they brought the car inside their garage to have us look at it. Once we committed to purchasing, they let us bring our trade vehicle inside to empty it and gave us boxes and assistance with cleaning it out.I was very impressed with the entire team at Dover Chevy and would absolutely recommend them for purchasing a vehicle. 1 Reviews Buc 06 Dover, NH Reviewed : 04/09/2025 Comment : 1 Reviews Robert blake Dover, NH Reviewed : 04/04/2025 Comment : 1 Reviews Chris r Dover, NH Reviewed : 03/28/2025 Comment : SERVICE CUSTOMERS BEWARE/SERIOUS SAFTEY RISKS:*Shortened to fit Google ReviewsI recently started taking my vehicle (a Chevy) to Dover Chevrolet. For my second service there, I scheduled an appointment to have 4 new shock absorbers installed. I dropped my vehicle off at 7:30AM as agreed so they would have it for the entire day. I was notified that afternoon by Jen one of their service advisors that due to staffing issues at the dealership they were unable to get to my vehicle that day and I would need to leave it overnight. After paying/picking it up on a Thursday afternoon, the next day (Friday) I drove my family several hours away to visit relatives in the central part of the state. While driving I started to hear and feel a concerning popping sound coming from the driver s side front end. Once I was finally able to crawl underneath to inspect everything, I saw that the bolt securing the front driver s side shock had FALLEN OUT and was nowhere to be found. Clearly the bolt wasn t properly torqued (if at all). THE SHOCK HAD COME COMPLETELY SEPARATED FROM THE CONTROL ARM AT SOME POINT WHILE MY WIFE, 2 KIDS, 2 DOGS, AND I DROVE HALFWAY ACROSS THE STATE AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. I immediately called Dover Chevrolet s service department to find out what the correct protocol was for this situation. I left an urgent message for Mike Durkee (the service manager) asking to be called back as soon as possible. I received no call back. I spent the entire weekend communicating with OTHER Chevy dealerships to try to confirm/locate the missing hardware to reattach the shock. After finding out that the nearest correct GM parts were a several hour drive away, I ultimately had to source similarly spec d nuts/bolts/washers from a local hardware store. I crawled underneath the vehicle in the mud/a snowstorm, manually forced the shock absorber back into position, and reinstalled/correctly torqued the hardware myself so that my family could make it back home for school/work commitments Monday morning.I never even received a call back from these people until Tuesday March 4th. Even then it was the service advisor Jen, and not Mike Durkee the service manager who I had left the urgent message for. I brought my vehicle back in the next day and voiced my extreme concerns/disappointment. Mike Durkee then said to me that because I/we didn t have the original bolt that fell out we ll never truly know what/who was responsible for the failure and that it could have been due to the threads on the bolt stretching out over time/use and the bolt itself effectively failing That s right folks, apparently Dover Chevrolet s expert opinion is all of our vehicles that are at least a few years old are ticking time bombs where our suspension components could just fail and fall off at any moment and coincidently enough it just happened to me within a few hours of the service they performed We agreed to pause further discussion about what/if anything the dealership would suggest to rectify the situation until after my vehicle was inspected for damage that may have occurred after the shock came off. Well, yesterday (March 26th) they inspected everything for damage, installed the correct GM hardware, and Mike Durkee told me that he felt everything had been settled. We were square. All set. Nothing else to be discussed on the matter. So after paying full price for a service that was not only incorrectly completed, put my entire family at risk, wasted an incredible amount of my time/effort, told a fairytale excuse, and not even receiving a sincere apology, I think I ll be taking my business elsewhere. If you re like me, you ll draw your own conclusions from both the positive and negative reviews here. But if you ve read this, don t say you haven t been warned SERVICE CUSTOMERS BEWARE/SERIOUS SAFTEY RISKS:*Shortened to fit Google ReviewsI recently started taking my vehicle (a Chevy) to Dover Chevrolet.
