Comment : They are overpriced, $198 for engine check diagnostic. They held the diagnostic hostage, for several hours, while they did their "free" inspection with their list of urgent recommendations (I have an old car, and some of their recommendations either not accurate or not necessary). Inaccurate diagnosis of the oil leak--also exaggerated--another auto-shop confirmed. DMC told me I needed new spark plugs--which I had (all of them) replaced by a trusted auto repair shop last year, before I moved to Ventura. Their focus seems to be on sales, not service. Oh and they did not top up my oil change, at the end of the service, so when I got home and noticed a couple of days later the oil was on minimum. (New oil filter absorb the oil and needs a top up at end of serve, according to AI) Instead one of their associated told me the low oil was due to a huge oil leak from one of the gaskets. I have a slight oil leak on my garage floor. My new auto (mom and pop) car repair told me no gasket problem, slight oil leak due to something else, and not urgent. Don't be dazzled by the fancy video's and pics from the inspection. Sound great. Most of us don't know what we are looking at anyway. Suggest going to a local repair shop instead.

Comment : After having to deal with the last auto repair shop that not only did a bad job fixing my 2021 Ford Escape AWD but when they installed the new transmission that my insurance company paid for they failed to work with my insurance company correctly and made me pay $1,150 for labor that they claimed was not covered by my insurance company, in the end they taught me a very good lesson not to trust just any auto repair shop because my transmission ended up having to get replaced again and this time I went to DMC Automotive Repair, in Ventura, CA and they not only worked with my insurance company and fought for me when my insurance company wanted me to cover the difference for the labor cost since they would only cover $110 for labor costs and the labor cost was $200 the difference would have been over $2,500 that my insurance company wanted me to pay out of my own pocket but DMC Automotive Repair not only fought with my insurance company and forced them to cover the labor cost arguing that it was their responsibility as part of my coverage but they also made it so that I didn't have to pay the $150 deductible and they did an amazing job installing the new transmission and they kept in constant contact with me making sure to update me as my vehicle was being repaired, I wouldn't take my car to anyone else but DMC Automotive Repair in Ventura CA because they are not only trustworthy but reliable and know how to get the job done.
