Comment : SCAMMERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Terrible experience. I scheduled an appointment 5 days in advance and even left work early to make it on time. When I arrived, they told me they couldn’t take any more cars. When I asked why they gave me an appointment in the first place, they had no response. Very unprofessional!!!!!!! AVOIDDDDDDDD

Comment : My husband and I were on our way to New Jersey to celebrate my mom's 84th birthday. During our road trip, we planned to stop at the Hershey Park area and stay at a hotel there. We rarely take vacations, and I wanted my husband who loves chocolate to enjoy a visit to Hershey Park and Chocolate World. What started out as a pleasant drive through the Ohio and Pennsylvania, suddenly turned into a stressful and costly experience. We pulled into a travel plaza gas station to fill up and discovered our brake pedal went straight to the floor! Considering the prepaid hotel stays, the park tickets, and my mom's birthday dinner, we had our car towed to our hotel in Hershey, PA. The cost of the tow would hurt us greatly, but we felt it was the best option to be safe at the hotel we had already booked and allowed us time to choose a good repair shop. We didn't get to go to Hershey Park. We didn't get to go to Chocolate World. BUT we made it safely to my mom's birthday dinner because of Ed and his crew at Derry Auto & Tire in Harrisburg, PA! They went above and beyond working overtime to make sure our car was repaired in time for us to get to our hotel in New Jersey and be on time for my mom's birthday dinner with my family. We arrived back home safely with no issues. Thank you, Ed (& crew)! And a big thank you to the mechanic who stayed behind after close to finish the job! We're both in our 60's with limited income and resources. The stressful event during this road trip could've resulted in a far more dire situation for us. Thank you for being so kind and emphatically helping us when we were feeling helpless. While my husband stayed in the shop waiting, I stayed behind with our luggage at the hotel lobby after checkout time and sat nervously for hours waiting to hear our car was ready. I know, without a doubt, we chose the right repair shop. I know, without a doubt, we made the right decision getting our car towed to the hotel in Hershey that led to our car being repaired by Ed and his crew at Derry Auto & Tire in Harrisburg!

Comment : I had my car towed to Derry Auto & Tire one morning, for a ( No Start Issue ) that I had been having 😩. And I'm telling you.., In a matter of hrs, I had received a phone call, with a FuLL Diagnosis and Estimate 👍,🙂. The following morning.., I went n I picked up my car... N, 🫢. I could hardly believe it😲. She fired right up😁, n hasn't given me any more trouble since. I mean, WOW!!, mind blowing 🤯. However they figured the ReAL, UnDerLyiNg PRoBLeM out ,🧐🤨🤔 , and then how to fix it 🥳!! , It's beyond me😳. I haven't had OnE SinGLe issue since I've picked up my vehicle from Derry Auto & Auto, n I just want to let it be known that, if I were EvER to have any / some kind of QueStiON ) IsSuE with ANY Of MY CaR / VeHiCLES again, Derry Auto & Tire ( IS - MY GO TO ), from HERE ON OUT. !!!! Comment : This so called professional charged me a great deal of money for a full oil change which is fine, then after I pay the money and leave, I find out later when filling my windshield fluid that this guy never replaced the oil filter as i can see its the old one from when I changed my oil, which was a bright orange FRAM high grade filter. It was it and very dirty that told me nobody even removed / replaced the filter, let alone use a higher grade filter as most garages use Napa or Fisher auto part filters. I confronted the owner and he was very nasty, rude and pretty much said to me to prove it. I could as I have my original receipt for the FRAM filter within my auto records as I said to him to prove it that she changed it. I wanted a refund as I'm sure this nasty clown most likely never changed the oil as well since the filter was not touched. He called me a scam artist, a homosexual and said for me to leave is place of business and to never enter my estabishment again for the lies I told. Yes I want to scan this guy out of 69.99 and go thru all of this for a free oil change let alone calling me horible names. I'm not gay but I could imagine what this guy would do when one entered with a complaint. By other feedbacks here, this guy has a long history of being nasty to his customers, maybe he should sell his business to someone who really cares for their customers and doesnt pull stunts like this. I would really get nasty with the names and what i think but not sure if Yelp would leave it on. A piece of shit this guy and business it! STAY FAR AWAY, go to Dales Auto on Derry street, more friendly and professional.

Comment : Derry Auto and Tire helped me with replacing a flat tire on Easter weekend. The manager and his crew were very professional and were able to locate an exact match for my car's tire and also got the replacement done in no time. They also gave me a very reasonable price for the tire and labor.

I noticed a few reviews talk about the aesthetics of the waiting area. Whilst I agree it could be improved it doesn't matter imo - the crew at this shop seems really good at what they do which is all that matters. A well run local establishment - I can't be more thankful for their help on a holiday weekend in an area I'm not from.
