My service was done properly and promptly today. My service advisor, Kendall, was great. I was driven home and back to the service center when my vehicle was done. Had my prior experience been as good as today I would have rated 5 stars. :End of amendment.
Prior review:
I made an appointment for my 10K servicing plus 2 recalls for my '24 CRv Hybrid. I only have one vehicle so I specified that I would be waiting. When I checked in I was told they were behind and very busy so they needed me to leave the car unless I wanted to hang around all day. Even if I left they could only shuttle me home but could not bring me back. I opted to only do the routine servicing and make another appointment for the recalls.
I gave them 2 stars primarily because I did confirm they did the oil change. Otherwise my rating would be a negative star.
What is the purpose of making fictitious appointments???
I've owned Hondas since 1999, all purchased at the same dealership in Bergen County near where I used to live. For most of that time I brought my vehicles to that dealer for service and had the same service advisor.
Here, I never had the same person twice. There is no consistency.
Even with only doing one of 3 tasks, I had to hang around for 3 hours. Had I left the car, I would have had to Uber back. I might have had to be there even longer since no one notified me my car was done until I finally went to the counter to check on it.
I was sent to another counter to make an appointment for the recalls. The woman that took care of that was very unpleasant. I asked a question and was treated like a was committing a capital crime. It seem that each area is in their own little bubble and prevents it bursting.
I am going to research other dealers' service departments. Three hours for an oil change and the obnoxious attitude combined is totally ridiculous. I prefer doing business where it is appreciated.'>

Comment : Amendment:
I averaged my today's experience with my previous review of 2 weeks prior to an increase by 1 star. Today was the reschedule of what could not be done during my earlier appointment.

Lesson learned…always reconfirm a confirmation w Hamilton Honda to ensure parts are there to service your car to not waste personal time and gas getting to an appt there.'>

Comment : I had scheduled an appt a couple of weeks ago for the latest safety recall notice I received in the mail. I had received automated text messages reminding me of my appt this morning. In talking w the service desk, they advised me “the parts are not in stock.” Absolutely miffed is the best PC word to label here. I informed the manager about this as well. Let's see how long this takes to rectify this safety recall that needs servicing!

Comment : Brad spoke to me about my lease. He then got me in touch with Willson (2nd time) and he found us the exact car and color that we wanted.
Willson is terrific!! He got the 1-2 seat working properly. Last car, service department just couldn't get it to work right..
