Comment : I scheduled an alignment with these guys yesterday, got in first thing this morning.

When I was a teen, had a timing belt go bad on my truck at the time, and got taken for a ride by that mechanic. Also got taken advantage of by Canyon Auto, also in Beaverton. Mechanics can be shady; because of this I do ALL of my own work to my car, unless I can't do it. And an alignment is something I can't do.

These guys were really good. Asked them to make sure the steering wheel was straight (Firestone really struggled with that bit), and they did a great job. Probably the best alignment I've had.

Afterwards they asked ME about the maintenance needs of the car, and I was able to let them know about the stuff I'd done, had a quick conversation with the service adviser. I felt respected, they didn't try to sell me a bunch of stuff I didn't need, didn't break lose a brake hose and tell me I needed a new caliper (I didn't, Les Schwab). The things they DID recommend, they provided pictures of in a cool document they send you a link to. It was also nice that the service adviser didn't waste my time explaining all of this to me, I think they probably would have - but it was nice that they took my ability into account during the conversation and I think he figured it wasn't needed.

These guys seemed honest, and they did good work. I'm moving to another state tomorrow, hitting the road - but I wish I'd found these guys sooner. You never know, but based on my experience today, I'd trust these guys with my car, and that's not really my style.

p.s. The guy who took it for a test drive after the alignment was ripping it through those curves. I forgive him.

Comment : My HVAC fan stopped working in my Honda and the dealership told me it would cost $4000 to replace it. Because Sun auto was affiliated with the Costco auto program, I decided to take it there for a “ second opinion”. They did the job in one day and I paid $880 for it. They even provided an Uber for my initial ride home. The people there were very communicative and approachable and, so far, the fan is working great
