Comment : I had my car inspected/oil change at Dave's Auto Repair in 12/2025. I have been taking my vehicle to this garage for the last two years. I also had two of my sons buy vehicles at the affiliated, Jonathan’s Auto Outlet. I had been OK with the service so far.

During my last service, I was told by one of the service techs that the lug nuts on the car were stuck/frozen and the wheel studs would have to be replaced. I had this issue before when I had service at DARE and would seem there is an issue of over tightening the lug nuts. And since I was only getting service at DARE for the last two years, the garage would have been the only people servicing the tires. This whole process cost me about $500 and has left a bad taste in my mouth.

I also had replacement of the Control Arms which I took the word of the tech that it needed replacement. I was given the price over $2,200 for all the service. I was called a little later by the tech who said they didn't have the control arm parts at the garage but they could get it in Cherry Hill for an additional $400 If I wanted the service completed by the end of the day. I refused and said it was already too much. Got another call a little later and was told they could get the parts for $100, which I again said no. Eventually, I got a call at closing time and the vehicle was all done.

I never had that happen before where a business tried to get more money out of me to get parts delivered. This is nothing but a money grab as far I am concerned and a bad business practice.

I can't understand the gouging. Dave's Auto Repair looks like a very successful business and all the workers are very nice when you deal with them. I reached out to the business by email with above complaints and gave them an opportunity to talk about this. I was never contacted. I will not be using this business again.

Comment : Nothing but great experiences at Dave's Auto Repair! I've now taken two different vehicles to them for state inspections, oil changes, and various other services. Everyone is extremely friendly and service is quick. I greatly appreciate how they let me know what might need to be done in the next few months without any pressure to have all maintenance/repairs done same-day. They are very knowledgeable and take the time to explain in-detail what they need to do and why, which gives me great peace of mind. I highly recommend Dave's to anyone looking for friendly, honest, and thorough service at a fair price!

Comment : We moved back to the area from Virginia and have been on the look out for a good trustworthy mechanic. This place is very nice. They are family owned and everyone there is happy and cares about their job and doing what is best for the customer. JT was super friendly and you could just tell they are caring people who know a lot about cars. We will be driving out of our way to use these guys as our regular mechanics moving forward.
