Comment : It pains me to write this review. So much that I don t even know where to begin, which is part of the reason it has taken me so long. I try so hard to be positive and see the best in everyone.Darlings even left a note, on my service slip asking that I address them before I write a negative review, but I did! I tried to tell them my issue and I could tell they just didn t care.Well I care! I was a vet tech for many years and I cared about our clients and their pets. We actually listened to their grievances and did everything we could to make it right.I bought this 2021 Honda Odyssey last winter solely so I would have a safe car for myself and my dogs. It was the 5th vehicle we have purchased from Darlings and that s where I always took them to be serviced. So it s not like I have not been a loyal customer.But this purchase was particularly important. Last Sept(2023) I was diagnosed with stage IV metastatic breast cancer and had been told it had spread to many parts of my body, including my spine and my brain. In fact they actually had to perform emergency surgery to remove a lesion, that was resting at the place where my spine meets my brain. It was a dangerous and invasive surgery, but I was told that it would only be a matter of week before I was completely paralyzed if I didn t have it.So when I survived the surgery my mom asked me what I wished for and I told her that more than anything I wanted a safe vehicle for me and my family. So with her help, I purchased this odyssey. I was so excited! It was exactly what I wanted.I of course had asked, the sales rep Nick, if it had been in any accidents and was told it had not. It wasn t until when we were signing the papers that they mentioned it had been in a minor fender bender . I of course became very concerned and wanted to back out, but I was exhausted from all I had been through and the process signing of all the papers. A few weeks later, I noticed that some of the paint on the front bumper was peeling off and some of the trim around the windows was coming out.I called Darling s and told them and no one seemed to care. I would have pursued it more, but I was in the midst of rehab, as I was no longer able to walk and had severe vertigo and nausea.In November of 24, I brought my Honda Odyssey to Darlings, in Bangor, an hour and a half drive from my home to have an inspection and the winter tires put on. I had made an appointment because I am still having physical therapy and had an appointment at Fyzical in Bangor. So I had an appointment time.I told the service manager about the issue with the peeling on the front fender. He took pictures and told me he would get back to me. Two hours later, I called to check on the status of my car and was curtly told that it was no where near being done because two of the mechanics had quit that week and they were short staffed therefore I would have to wait til 3 pm if I wanted my tires on. I had never been informed of this when I dropped my vehicle off. They also told me the car wouldn t pass inspection because the drivers side rear shock was shot. Now how does that happen on a 3 year old vehicle with 40,000 miles on it? I ve had vehicles go to 100,000 miles and not need new shocks. Maybe it s just a coincidence, but I am sad to say, I have lost all faith in Darlings.Now at this point, I am nauseas from the vertigo I have been experiencing every day for an and exhausted from the physical therapy. So I had to pick up my car without getting my snow tires and I have never heard a word back about the paint peeling on the bumper.If I were healthier I would have been more progressive in trying to get assistance with this issue, but this has been the worst couple of years of my life and I am lucky to be alive. and because of my medical expenses, I don t have the money to get a bumper on a fairly new vehicle repaired.Now my husband is wanting to get a new work van and I am sad to say that I told him not to get one from Darlings like he did last time.It pains me to write this review. So much that I don t even know where to begin, which is part of the reason it has taken me so long. I try so hard to be positive and see the best in everyone. More

Comment : Went to Darlings Nissan, I worked with Caleb who honestly is the best. Wasn't pushy, took the time to listen to what I was looking for vs just trying to sell me a car. Love my Nissan Rogue, it's so good in the snow! Would recommend Caleb to anyone who wants a sales person interested in getting you what you want. 10/10.

Comment : Would not recommend buying a car here. Bought a 2016 Honda CRV on Halloween 2024. Salesman name Luke is actually great I don???t have a problem with him. What I have a problem with is being sold a car with broken parts.I thought the backup camera was dirty when I got it didn???t think anything of it, got it home and it turns out the camera is messed up. They said I would have to pay half of the cost to get it fixed, which they should do for free in my opinion as I had literally just left the dealership.In between the time of buying the car and waiting for the car to get the camera fixed, last Saturday on the way to Portland, the check engine light came on and I lost power and I had to pull over on the side of the road until the car acted normal again. I???m sure that Darlings can???t do anything about that either. Or will make me pay halfA month after I buy the car, I took the car in to get the camera fixed. I had some communications issues with the service dept. Blaine from Darling Honda service dept reached out to see what happened with those communication issues and to try and get to the bottom of it. He was able to offer me an oil change and tire rotation the next time I come in for service for the troubles. I still don't truly feel confident in the car due to the other areas considering, but I???m glad that the service dept and Blaine can at least take ownership and try to make things right on their end.During the sale, I was upsold on the weather undercoating for the vehicle, and I was told I would be reached out to get it scheduled. They never called me like they promised, I had to call them to get on the schedule for the service I was upsold on weeks later. So they???re eager to sell you stuff that they won???t deliver on for weeks.It???s pretty frustrating to have a great sales process just for the various areas of the service/product to not meet expectations. How can you trust that the car you buy off the lot doesn???t have something wrong that they didn???t check for? I???d think twice about buying a car here. Comment : Would not recommend buying a car here. Bought a 2016 Honda CRV on Halloween 2024. Salesman name Luke is actually great I don???t have a problem with him. What I have a problem with is being sold a car with broken parts. I thought the backup camera was dirty when I got it didn???t think anything of it, got it home and it turns out the camera is messed up. I dropped it off Friday, got called Friday afternoon EOD to be told they need to keep it to work on it on Saturday because they replaced the camera but it???s still not fully fixed. It???s Saturday now and NO ONE called me back like they PROMISED and the service dept is closed. So now I???m without my car for an entire weekend. And to top it off they took WEEKS to get to scheduling me for the underspray, they never called me like they promised, I had to call them to get on the schedule for the service I was upsold on. So they???re eager to sell you stuff that they won???t deliver on for weeks. I???m sure that Darlings can???t do anything about that either. Literally the only experience I have had buying a car that???s worse that this is the time I accidentally bought a rusted lemon when I was broke in college. I???m not even kidding. I work my rear end off and this is what my hard earned money gets me. It???s a shame they own all the dealerships in town because if they all run like the Honda dealership then it???s bush league.
