Speaking with a different shop, they informed me that the aggressive tires I used required frequent rotation. Before buying two new tires, I wanted to get the suspension checked to make sure that I am not shredding another set of tires. Enter Creamer Auto.I dropped the truck off and left the keys for a couple days. The next morning, they called and stated several things needed to be done, to include 4 new tires. I was apprehensive about the tires but gave Creamer the benefit since I was mostly looking at the front tires. Originally, I had Falken Wildpeak R/T Heavy Duty. These were not cheap tires but for South Dakota conditions, they were the best option I could find in Southern Florida. They quoted me a decent price for 4 tires and stated they were putting the same size tires in Nitto brand. I told them that they could delete the recycle fee because I can get rid of them at work for free.Fast Forward to the next day, I pay my bill and notice they didn't throw the wheels in the back of the truck. I happen to see them off to the side and pull around to load them up. When I get to the tires, I start questioning how these did not pass inspection and were considered "Low Thread" I speak with the salesman and ask him to explain how they were measured.Instead of breaking out a tire gauge, he starts stating that the wheels are dry rotted and not good anymore. I continue to push back stating the manufacture date is from 2023 and they old enough for dry rot. I spent a good portion of time trying to get them to acknowledge they may have made a bad call, to the point I even state that I absolutely do not agree that they would be considered "Low Thread". They never budged and simply waited for me to leave.I went to Advanced Auto and bought a tire gauge. The measurement across all tires (See pics) is between 9/32mm and 10/32mm consistently. The spec sheet on the Falken website states they originally come with 16/32mm. This means that the tires were at 50% thread life. Looking at WV tire inspection limits, you can pass with a 4/32mm. The tires they sold me (Not NITTO tires btw) were 12/32mm.Given all of the quantifiable measurements above, it becomes pretty evident they wanted to fail all of my tires so they can get the mount and balance fee for 4 tires as opposed to 2, if I was to replace the Falken's in kind.If they had owned up to the bad inspection, I would have probably asked for a minor discount and went on my way. I don't usually ask for military discounts at small businesses because that 10% is usually most of their profits. Creamers saw an opportunity to upsell by telling blatant lies and I will be sure to tell everyone I know about my experience.'> Reviewed : 10/06/2025 Comment : SCAMMERS!!! Take your business elsewhere.I don't believe in giving bad reviews. I feel giving a business a permanent negative review based upon a singular interaction isn't fair. People have bad days, new people are always learning, machines break down, and a thousand other reasons why things didn't go smoothly. I feel my interaction with Creamer is so disingenuous that it isn't a one-off, it's a business mentality that preys upon customers and based upon pure greed. My Ram 2500 was showing signs of uneven wear. I didn't like the service there and had heard good things about Creamers so I dropped my car off on Thursday morning by appointment and told them about the knocking noise and that the other shop had said it was tie rod ends. I got a call that afternoon saying I needed control arms. They also said I needed brake pads and rotors which I knew I needed rotors but I had just replaced my brake pads which even the first shop mentioned that they looked new so that should have been the first red flag. I also knew I needed tires especially the rear ones. Well I needed this done so I told them to go ahead and replace the sway bars, tie rod ends, and the rear tires (moving the new ones to the front). They told me they'd have the parts tomorrow and would call me when it was ready. Friday at 2:00 pm I call to check the status, because I would need to arrange a ride when it was ready, and was told they were actively working on it. At 4:00 pm I got a call saying they had been sent the wrong parts and wouldn't have the right ones until the morning but they would try and get it done Saturday. This should have been the second red flag as why would a shop be 'actively working on it' if they didn't have the correct parts. That is step one in any project. They are only open until 1:00 PM on Saturday so I again made sure I had a ride. Not hearing from them I called at noon and was told they were working on it but didn't know if it would be ready to pick up. I didn't hear anything until noon on Monday, today, when they called to tell me it was ready. A nice stranger gave me a ride into town and I paid for and picked up my car. They did the tires and control arms but instead of tie rod ends my paperwork says sway bar ends which aren't the same thing. As soon as I made my first left turn I heard my front, passenger side brakes dragging which was not an issue before they had it. I considered going right back but wanted to see if the primary issue had been fixed which I knew I needed to drive more to find out. Well, it wasn't. So now not only is the issue still there but my brakes are dragging. I got home and called and talked to the lady at the desk who said there was no manager there. She blamed me for the brakes dragging saying I was told I needed brakes, but of course this was not an issue before. I was told I could bring it back and the mechanic could look at it but he said he didn't hear anything when he drove it. I asked if we could ride in it together and she said she doesn't know if that's possible. So, I missed three days of work (actually 4 but they had it for three), out over 2K and have the old problem and the new problem. I opted to just wait until speaking with a manager as I imagine my best case scenario is they tell me it needs something else for the original problem and try and charge me another 500-1000 dollars and I'm not going to keep throwing money at it to see if something works.'> Reviewed : 07/23/2025 Comment : Update:07/23/25: When I called Troy, the manager, I didn't have much hope that anything positive would come of it. I was wrong. He told me he would make it right and he absolutely did. We got everything, including the original issue, resolved and he went above and beyond for the inconvenience. Anyone can make a mistake or have a bad day but in today's world few will take responsibility and make it right and ultimately that will do more to make me a loyal customer than just doing a satisfactory job, which is really the minimum any of us should be accepting. I personally know what it's like to lose money to make right mistakes I have made. I can honestly say I will be back here when I need auto work in the future and I wish more businesses were still like this.I had gone to another shop and was told I needed tie-rod ends to address the problem.
