But it seems they do not like you taking your diagnostics and doing the work yourself.'> Reviewed : 02/28/2026 Comment : My first interaction with Cooper's was great, I got my vehicle (97 RAV4) inspected and had an oil change. I was given a list of issues that included replacing my spark plugs and their wires, engine seal, and replacing my front brakes. I declined Cooper's taking care of these and decided to do it myself with the help of my auto-repair-savvy relative. I just tried to make a new appointment and ask for an inspection on a power steering fluid leak and was told that they "would pass" on inspecting this issue due to the vehicle's age and mileage, also having mentioned that I was going to do repairs myself. I'm not sure what the aging of a vehicle has to do with figuring out if my power steering fluid is truly leaking, but I am disappointed that I was "passed" on to figure out this issue, and for what seemed to be a grudge for having done my own maintenance after getting my diagnostics.Again, I had a great experience the first time with Cooper's! But it seems they do not like you taking your diagnostics and doing the work yourself. 1 Reviews Jay dee Portland , OR They are kind and honest and kept me informed. Had my car in and out in one day!'> Reviewed : 02/27/2026 Comment : I will always trust my car at Coopers. After being quoted a price from a "name brand" company close to my home, I took my car to Coopers for a second opinion. I saved $1,400 right at the start. Luckily they had serviced my car before and knew what was and wasn't needing replaced vs. tightened/adjusted.They are kind and honest and kept me informed. Had my car in and out in one day! 1 Reviews Michael t Portland , OR Reviewed : 02/06/2026 Comment : I dropped my car off on Thursday, February 5 for a routine oil change. The service was completed, including a check of the cabin air filter. I paid and drove directly home. I live very close to the shop and did not adjust the heating or air system afterward. The following morning, when I turned my defroster on high to go to work, it produced a loud shuffling/rattling noise. I assumed leaves or other debris had fallen into the system during the air filter check and expected this to be a quick, straightforward fix.I returned to the shop after work and calmly explained the issue. The employee at the counter went to get the owner. From the start, the owner was unexpectedly aggressive and confrontational, which made it difficult to explain the issue clearly. I was told that I should fix the problem myself.Following his instructions, I disassembled the glove compartment and accessed the cabin air filter. I did not see or resolve the issue, likely because I am not a mechanic. I returned inside to explain that the problem remained. While outside, I could hear the owner stating through the door that he did not care and did not have time to help me. He then told me I would need to make an appointment the following week, with the earliest availability being Wednesday?leaving me without a functioning defroster for five days in February. When I asked whether I would be charged for correcting this issue, which appears to have resulted from the original service, I was told they would ?let me know.? I do not believe it is reasonable to charge a customer to correct a problem caused during routine service. This issue appears minor and easily resolved?something that could likely be fixed in under a minute with basic equipment. What concerns me far more than the mechanical issue itself was the owner?s aggressive behavior, refusal to take accountability, and dismissive attitude. 1 Reviews Missy padilla runyon Portland , OR Reviewed : 02/04/2026 Comment : 1 Reviews Betsy brundage Portland , OR Reviewed : 01/27/2026 Comment : We have been going here for years. This is how it must have felt decades ago when everyone knew your name and the staff at gas stations would come running out to check your oil, tire pressure, and anything else you needed without hesitation. The team here was friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring from start to finish. Quality work, fair pricing, and service that feels personal.
