Comment : Consumer Beware: My Experience at Conrad’s Tire in Brunswick, Ohio

I rarely post reviews, but I feel compelled to warn others after a deeply disappointing experience at Conrad’s Tire.

I brought my 2024 Volvo (a fleet vehicle through Wheels) in for a simple repair—a nail in the passenger-side rear tire. I told Mary at the front desk I was in a rush, as I had to drive to Columbus that evening. To her credit, she fit me in quickly. That’s where the positives end.

After waiting nearly an hour, Mary came out and said, “It’s your driver-side rear tire, correct?” I said no—it’s the passenger-side rear. She insisted I had told her otherwise, which I absolutely did not—and I had a witness to confirm it.

They then had to restart the process to fix the correct tire. I left as soon as the car was ready, needing to make my meeting in Columbus.

The next day, driving back, I noticed the car felt off. My husband checked and discovered they had replaced the driver-side rear tire—which had no nail—with a Goodyear tire, mismatched from the original Michelins. Why would you replace a perfectly good tire? Don’t you verify what a driver says?

Worse, my rims were scratched—on a brand-new Volvo. I contacted fleet maintenance and Conrad’s. They apologized and agreed to fix the tire issue. Two days later, they replaced the tire with the correct one—but denied responsibility for the rim damage, blaming it on “curb scratches.” That’s simply not true. I treat my fleet vehicle with the same care as my personal car.

When my husband said, “I guess we’ll never come back here again,” Mary replied, “That’s fine.”

Final Thoughts:

Whether your car is worth $1,000 or $60,000, do not trust Conrad’s Tire in Brunswick. I believe they took advantage of the fact that it was a fleet vehicle, made careless mistakes, and refused to take accountability for damaging my rims.

Buyer beware.

Would you like help turning this into a formal complaint letter or posting it to a specific platform like Google Reviews or the Better Business Bureau?

Comment : I had a tubless lawn mower tire that I could not get to inflate. I took it to Conrad's and Nate worked on it for about 20 minutes after which he was able to get it inflated. Best of all, he didn't even charge for service. That's what I call service! Thank you Conrad's team.
