Comment : I brought my truck here after having an issue with the cooling system. They replaced two hoses and performed a pressure test and a chemical test. Based on their chemical test, I was told that my truck had a blown head gasket.

When I asked what it would cost to repair the head gasket or the head, I was told they would not do the repair because of the mileage and that the entire engine would need to be replaced. One of the employees also offered me $2,000 for my truck.

I had the truck towed home and had another person perform the exact same pressure test and chemical test. Both tests came back showing no evidence of a blown head gasket. I was also told there was nothing wrong with the head itself.

What concerns me most is that I was given a diagnosis of a major, extremely expensive problem that the second set of the same tests did not find. I was then told I needed an entire engine because of the mileage, while at the same time an employee was offering to buy my truck for $2,000.

As a customer, the whole situation made me feel like the focus was on making money from me rather than actually figuring out what was wrong with my truck and helping me fix it. If I had accepted their diagnosis without getting a second opinion, I could have spent thousands of dollars replacing an engine that I apparently did not need.

I'm very thankful I got a second opinion before making a major financial decision. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend getting another opinion before authorizing any major repair based on a diagnosis from this shop.

Comment : Im one if those tough customers when it comes to asking for my stuff to be taken care of and these guys did just that, for a reasonable price and great customer service I've found my new shop for the future forsure.

Comment : Very disappointing!! We always try to support local businesses. We brought my nephew's Crown Victoria in for an overheating issue, likely due to the cooling fan not coming on. We agreed to the $189 diagnostic check out, but was charged an additional diagnostic chemical block test fee without prior approval from us or discussion upon drop off. I witnessed the entire discussion myself. He received a quote of $1,080 to replace the electrical cooling fan and module. I told him to deny the repair, as that is complete insane pricing. He questioned the unapproved additional diagnostic fee, we were fine with the $189 and it was reduced to $280 from $315. He paid the $280 and picked the vehicle up. We bought the parts (same brand and model they quoted him with) the next day w/ warranty ($290) and I walked him through how to replace both parts. We were done in 30 minutes, this wasn't me doing it, this was the time for him to do it and learn while me telling him what to do. The prices quoted for the simple, straight forward repair were ridiculous. Sad to see from a long term local business. As a life long coast resident, I will share my experience when asked where not to go regarding cost effective, needed auto repairs. The nearly $300 diagnostic fee was going to be charged if we moved forward with repairs. What an experience! One and done!
