Comment : I just stumbled upon this place for an oil change for a vehicle I bought for my son. While I was there I had them inspect it as it is an older model car. They were very reasonable on prices. The staff are very helpful and nice. I have definitely find my new auto shop.

Comment : Great experience with Tim. He was very timely and forthright with his communications.They took my vehicle in, diagnosed it quickly (snapped strut), and did a full inspection so that I was aware of what all would need to be done. I was able to approve/decline services freely and payment options were made available so that I wasn't overwhelmed. I had my car back within about a day after confirming services. I would highly recommend this place again and will be bringing my vehicle back again should more repairs be needed.

Comment : I have been a loyal customer of Clear Lake Auto for years, but my recent experience was very disappointing. I was told my vehicle would be ready by Saturday, but the completion date was delayed to Monday and then again to Tuesday.
The final price was not the same as the initial quote. When I checked the quote that was sent to me, I noticed the price had been changed to reflect the new, higher amount. Fortunately, I had taken screenshots and was able to catch the discrepancies. When I called about the price, they immediately corrected one of the discrepancies but did not address the others, even after I sent photos as proof.
I initially brought my car in for a check engine light and was told it was the O2 sensor. I paid $160 for the diagnostic and $250 to replace the O2 sensor. However, by the end of the week, the check engine light was back on. When I called them again, they said it was probably another O2 sensor and that I needed to bring the car back in.
After this less than stellar experience, I have decided to take my business elsewhere, which is very disappointing because Clear Lake Auto has always been great in the past.
