Comment : Award-winning paint and body work! Recently, my 1954 Chevy Pickup won "Best of Show (Modified Truck)" in the professionally judged Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA) competition. There were over 500 cars and trucks in the competition, so this is quite an honor. The judges were impressed by the paint and flawless body work -- all done by Chris and his team at Quality Auto Body. This is my #1 go-to automotive paint and body shop!

Clay’s Service Center failed my 2015 VW Golf R for inspection, claiming my 235/45R17 tires on 17” wheels were “too small.”
This is incorrect.
• OEM placard lists 235/35R19 (stock)
• My tires: 235/45R17 = 25.3” diameter vs. stock 25.5” → within 1%, safe, and common on MK7 Golf R
• VW approves 235/45R17 on 17” wheels via winter packages (ETKA part #5G0 601 025 K)
The mechanic used a generic chart and ignored Volkswagen’s own specs, costing me time and money.
Lack of model-specific knowledge — not trustworthy for performance VWs.
Avoid if you run aftermarket wheels or non-stock sizes.
I’m going back to Wolfe’s VW where they know VW and Audi.

Comment : If you're looking for an honest shop, clays isn't it. Brought my vehicle in for inspection, half of what they failed it for it didn't need. Provided evidence and called them out on it and they still had the marbles to charge me $16 sticker fee. I know stickers only cost a few bucks but you obviously need it more than me. Sincerely, a Technician with 20yrs experience.

Comment : We've had a very positive experience with QAB. We first came to QAB about 18 years ago. Chris Spencer was very thorough and professional in the way he engaged with us. We were delighted with their service. Since then, we've come to QAB a few times including for some major auto body work. Every time Chris Spencer and the QAB staff have provided stellar service. Chris is very detailed with his estimate, prompt in e-mail communications keeping us updated on work progress, and very courteous in his interactions with his customers. We'd highly recommend QAB.

The owner, Jim Clay, runs this shop with honesty & integrity. I appreciate that Jim sends his mechanics to get educated on the newest technologies on a regular basis. Keep up the great work!
