Comment : Good service at very reasonable prices. Parts are not marked up, labor is a fair rate and employees are very knowledgeable. My only gripe might be not letting you know while your car is on the lift that it might need something else, but waiting until you pick it up. I'm happy for not being pressured into additional services but sometimes I'd rather get it done at the time if possible even it it means keeping the car another day.

Comment : If you need an honest mechanic at the beach CJ is your guy! My son's car wouldn't start during senior week and AAA had it towed To CJ's Beach Bays. We were completely vulnerable to being "taken" as it was my 18 year old navigating the situation, however within 15 minutes CJ figured out that it was a missing chip in his key fob that was the problem.... tried the spare key and Voila - problem solved! Zero dollars charged. He easily could have replaced battery, started, alternator etc.... but was honest and helped us, which is a rarity these days. Thank you CJ and staff!

Comment : This happened today - I was panic stricken. My son and I are in a family house in Lewes and we need to decide if we are going back to Florida. Yesterday, a light popped on the car. What I thought was an alternator problem was actually an engine glitch. CJ'S Beach Bays was recommended to me by a rival car repair shop. I called and CJ answered. His voice was so calm that I immediately relaxed. He's so smart - he asked me to take a photo of the dash and send it to him. I did and he called me back. He told me that it was the engine light and that he needed to scan it to see if it was road worthy. He assured me that the engine light could mean any number of situations. I was able to drive to his very convenient location and the staff was on it, pronto. The young man who CJ directed to help me spent time with my car. I was praying! Finally, he looked at me and smiled - he asked me: "Did you tighten your gas cap?" I just looked at him, stunned. It wasn't tight. That was why the light popped! These folks saved my aging arse! 😂 And you know what? That scan was free of charge - that's Old School. That's a family business that we all need to support. I'm so grateful that I could kiss somebody! As long as I am in Sussex County, CJ's is where I will go for any car concerns. One thing, though - I couldn't get an oil change because they are booked solid. Now you know the reason why: great Customer Service!

Comment : This place is so wonderful! I moved here from Maryland, and one of the things I was most worried about was a good place to take my car. Everyone is so, so nice! Just today, I had to take my car in because the belly pan was half dragging. Audrey DROVE me to work (only 8 minutes away) after I dropped my car off to them, and she came and picked me up when my car was ready. And they were able to fix my issue at no charge, which was fantastic, even though I was more than willing to pay! Thank you all!

Comment : My wife and I moved the area 6 years ago. Since that time, I've taken our cars to CJ's for service. It feels good having a dependable place to have our vehicles serviced. I know I'll always get an honest assessment on the health of my car and know the work will be done right the first time! Everyone there is helpful, patient and courteous ALL THE TIME (especially Karen).
