At Katy Cares, we are privileged to witness extraordinary acts of kindness, but some leave us truly speechless.

Today, we want to recognize and express our heartfelt gratitude to Wayne Pollock the owner, Jerome, and the incredible team at Christian Brothers Automotive for an exceptional act of generosity.

A struggling single mother in our Katy Cares AT HOME Program, residing in one of Abigail's Place transitional homes, faced a devastating challenge. Her vehicle was in such poor mechanical and electrical condition that we feared it was beyond repair. Without reliable transportation, her ability to work, care for her children, and rebuild her life was at risk.

Enter Wayne, Jerome, and their remarkable team!

Through countless hours of labor, expensive replacement parts, exceptional expertise, and extraordinary generosity, they restored her vehicle to proper working condition. We estimate the value of their contribution at $8,000 or more!

And they did it out of compassion for a single mother who simply could not afford the repairs.

They didn't just go the extra mile. They went TEN extra miles!

Wayne and Jerome, you have demonstrated what it truly means to put faith into action. You have not only repaired a vehicle; you have restored hope, dignity, independence, and peace of mind to a mother fighting to build a better future for her family.

Comment : The service manager handled our repair needs as delicately as possible. The damage to our vehicle was internal mechanical. They diagnosed and provided options for the repairs. Ultimately we decided to not repair and sell the vehicle. They provided great service and had sympathy for our situation.
