While I understand these types of shops want to follow each step of you know what’s wrong or if I tell them what is wrong I would like an option to skip the $500+ BS steps to say okay well your probably right and that repair is 3,000+. I got a mobile mechanic to get the job done for 2,000 and they replaced a lot more. Just different experiences I should of go to mobile option first. 1 Reviews Victor martinez Rosenberg, TX Reviewed : 08/12/2025 Comment : Around July 3rd our AC system quit blowing cold so I brought the car in for what I thought would be a routine repair. We had to replace the AC compressor and 3 days later the evaporator went out, not the best news but fine. (Not completely sure the evap was checked during initial diag). Took the car back and had the evap and expansion valve replaced. We received the car back and found multiple issues. One of the AC vents was damaged and doesn’t hold place (not a big deal) the AC control trims were also damaged (not a big deal) and a few trim nuts were missing, but neither were reported or relayed to me. The expansion valve/ evap also made a loud hissing sound under acceleration while driving. The AC lines under the hood were also damaged but “fixed” with zip ties. I took the car back and expressed and showed all the issues and was told they would be fixed under warranty, great news. I was given an estimate due date but of course that date wasn’t met. Once finally receiving the car back August 6th, some of the issues were/ are STILL PRESENT. The evap/ exp valve is still hissing and the AC temperature isn’t super cold (7/10) and air pressure isn’t as strong as it was. I was given a free oil change for the plastic trim damage but I’m not even sure I’ll redeem that. For the amount of money that was paid ($3k+) for the “repair” one would expect to have a fully functioning AC system. I took in my 2018 GMC 2500 Sierra to the dealer at Finnegan in Rosenberg for a service engine light that had come on. I stopped by the dealership to drop off my truck and they were were able to diagnose the problem right away and for free, but I was informed that they were so behind on their work and that I needed to leave my truck for at least thirty days, which my response was that I needed my truck and couldn't leave it at the dealership for that extended period of time. It's was at this point that I decided to take it here were I was quoted for more than $1,000.00 dollars for a sensor that the dealership had already diagnosed, and I had provided this information to the service manager. The dealership had quoted all this work for less than $500.00 dollars and with no diagnosis fee. My car was making a noise upon starting it up. I have gone to the lexus dealership every since I bought my vehicle. But today I just wanted to get a diagnostic test done to tell me exactly why I was hearing the noise coming from my vehicle. I was greeted and the vehicle went for a diagnosis. After waiting about 45 minutes I went to see if the tech could tell me what he found, I started my video as I noticed the techs going back and fourth under my hood and my car was running as seen on the video. The tech said that it was my alternator and he will be with me with the paperwork. In the meantime I called sterling maccall dealership to get a price on an alternator service, they stated 1350.00. The tech at christian brothers said that the alternator price would be 2000.00. So I said thats ok, I will try somewhere else. I paid for the diagnostic 80.00 and as I got in the car, I noticed that the noise coming from my vehicle was louder and my a.c was no longer working. I turned off the vehicle to go inside and tell them about my a.c and and tried to start my vehicle and it wouldn't start and my hood was still open. While speaking with the team they said that my car broke down while doing the diagnostic test, which is a lie. I have the video of my car running while he was under the hood doing whatever he was doing. I had to have my car towed away, and the manager simply said that my car stopped running will be diagnosed and they left me to cry while sitting in my car knowing they only did this to get 2000.00 from me for an alternator. As im crying and calling to get a tow truck or someone to come and help me, Melissa came and offereda lower price to repair the vehicle 1400.00. Omg they broke my car and left me to have it towed. The most horrible experience I have ever had in my life. I didn't even want to put the 1 star for rating, but I had to, just to write this review. They were great when we owned our Kia. However, since getting our Honda Odyssey, we have had nothing but problems. When we came in for a routine oil change, the car was there from open until close. It also took them over an hour and half to get us with their courtesy car. Since then, we’ve had an issue with our tailgate. It has been in 3 separate days from 7am until close. All 3 times we get the same response “we’re close to figuring it out but we don’t know the extent of it yet.” We only have the one car so we can’t have it there for multiple days at a time. We can’t take off work to get this fixed. And we’ve continued to have the same tardy issues. My husband called at 3pm to get picked up. It’s now 5:15pm and we still haven’t been picked up. They said they would take us to work and pick us up but I don’t trust that they would be on time and when we have strict daycare timelines, I can’t risk being an hour late to get my son. Sadly, we will need to take our vehicle somewhere else that can diagnose the problem in less than 3 days and if it does take that long, is able to provide a loaner vehicle to us. Also, a place that is reliable with their courtesy car.
