Comment : I had the starter replaced by Christian Brothers Miramesa in Cypress TX yesterday, on my ram 1500, because I recently had a back injury and couldn?t do it myself. I think the price for replacing a starter was a bit inflated. It takes less than 2 hours to replace a starter and the part cost around $120. I paid over $300 for the part and over $300 for the labor.

I stated on my initial phone call with Daniel that my starter needed to be replaced. I told him everything that I had performed to arrive at that conclusion. I was still charged $89 electrical system check to tell me it was my starter that needed to be replaced. I only paid this because I?m injured and can?t do the work myself.

I was told that I would receive a call once my vehicle arrived. I called them as the tow truck was pulling off and I was told there was no need for me to come. Once the tow truck dropped off my vehicle, and after not receiving a call. About a hour and a half later, I called for an update. I was told that Daniel would call me back. I did not receive a call back. I received a digital estimate telling me what the issue was. I then called Daniel and authorized the work.

I thought that I would receive my vehicle back by the end of the day, since the total job takes less than 2 hours. But, by the end of the day, I heard nothing. So I rode pass the shop, to see if my truck was outside and it was. Because my truck was outside, I figured I would hear something the next morning.

The next day, after not hearing from Christian Brothers in the morning, I called around 12:00 pm. I spoke to Daniel. He told me that my vehicle started fine ?this morning? so I asked was it ready to be picked up and he told me yes.

The repair was done, but the high cost and poor communication make it hard to recommend this shop. Dealing with an injury is hard enough; I didn't need the added stress of chasing down a service advisor for a simple two-hour repair.

Comment : This was the best car maintenance experiences I?ve ever had. Daniel showed a high level of knowledge and professionalism. He was so informative and empathetic. They offered complimentary local shuttle service, which helped me save a few extra dollars. Daniel also shopped around for my parts and offered me the best deal he could. I highly recommend this location.
