I told them I was on a time crunch to get my f250 fixed. They were able to diagnose it, and get it covered by my pain in the ass extended warenty company. Lowell got me in and out quicker than any diesel mechanic I've been to. Everybody was super nice and had a free shuttle which helped because I was here on business and didn't have another vehicle. I would recommend these guys to anyone. 1 Reviews Lisa richardson McKinney, TX Reviewed : 04/09/2025 Comment : I live in a county that still requires emission inspections…I was in and out within 20 minutes! The staff were super friendly and welcoming! 1 Reviews Stanley t McKinney, TX Reviewed : 04/01/2025 Comment : Alas what once was is no more...I have been using Christian Brothers for many years as my go to for auto repair. They have always been fair and willing to work with you to get what needed be done at a reasonable price. A change in ownership of the shop has recently occurred and things are not quite the same.My complaint.I use to use Christian Bothers as my only trusted repair shop. Not any longer. If you do decide to use them I would be careful to study the situation and lots of questions. They seem to have lost their fair minded customer focus.I wanted a professional diagnostic scan on my car. In the past I have had this done and it was typically $70 to $100 charge. Christian Brothers currently charges $170. I was surprised by the increase but also figured it is just a sign of the times and felt the peace of mind would be worth it. I did discuss the recent history with the service desk attendant. He assured me that an expert ASE Certified mechanic would use the $10,000 Snap-On scanner that would check all of the electrical components and systems on the vehicle to verify if they were functioning to specifications or not. In a few hours I received notice that the scan was done. They said they found two lean bank error codes and they felt the issue might be the Positive Crankcase Ventilation Tube leaking and recommended that I have them replace it and run the diagnostic again. When I asked how much the repair would cost they wanted more than $200. Well like I said I am knowledgeable in regards to car repair. The part they wanted to replace is only $15.00 part for OEM delivered to my door. It is located right on top of the engine and held in place by one bolt and two rubber fittings on each end. The time to replace would be less than 5 minutes. I asked if I could replace the part my self and have the diagnostics re-run and I was told I would have to pay the $170 dollar fee again. I understand that they are trying to run a business but I strongly feel that they are being quite unfair. At $200+ and a $15 dollar OEM part that would charging approximately $600 an hour. When I asked for a full report of the diagnostic test they would offer no more than I was able to get from my $40 OBDII reader. The whole purpose of the request for the diagnostic was to obtain verification that all of the system monitoring electronic components were working correctly such as O2 sensors, Mass Air Flow, EVAP System, Fuel Pressure regulator and many more. When I requested a read out of the components that passed testing and what the values were I was told that was not something they were ever asked for in the past. As a matter of fact the ASE Certified mechanic knew nothing about getting such a report. Again I am knowledgeable and I do know that the diagnostic scan does record and save the values for both the components that pass and fail. I guess I learned my lesson.Again I would closely review, consider and ask questions before approving any work. I know they need to make money but $200/$600+/Hour and $15 OEM part in my opinion is extreme excess. My reply to the reply from CBA/James.James,I am even more discouraged than before. Like I said I have been a long time customer and many of the employees know me on a first name basis. If you really do want to talk about please do a little research. I am in your system both email and mobile number. To be honest I find your canned CYA reply lacking of effort at best.Alas what once was is no more...I have been using Christian Brothers for many years as my go to for auto repair.
