Last year I went to a different place that made it seem like my car was falling apart. But after going to CB, although they identified the same issues, they had a different perspective on what was an emergency and what could wait. I never feel like they are scaring me into unnecessary repairs. They are very good about honoring the warranty on any work they do as I experienced that first hand. This is something I am willing to pay for as many independent shops wont do this. There is always a coupon or some discount online. I was going to a drive in place for oil changes as it was convenient but now only go to CB as they have more experienced mechanics and are actually cheaper. They helped diagnose and fix a problem with the alarm system on a used car that we just bought. I had already paid a presale inspection price at another location, and everything turned out fine. The storms came, and my alarm on the car went off throughout the night. We replaced the battery in the key fob. The next night it did it again. I didn?t have time or know how to adjust the sensors. Thankfully Christian Brothers ran the tests again and changed the settings on my sensor. They did not charge me; thankfully. I?m so grateful. Thank you Christian Brothers. He immediately suggested a rack and pinion issue, even though the symptoms didn?t align. I expressed my concern, and later he called back with a different (and accurate) diagnosis. I appreciated that the correct issue was eventually identified.However, the overall experience was disappointing.When I explained I couldn?t afford the repair at this time, the interaction became uncomfortable. Instead of simply discussing options, I felt talked down to and given an overly technical explanation that wasn?t helpful.The biggest issue was transportation. After declining the repair, I was denied shuttle service and had to pay for an Uber. When I arrived, I saw the shuttle being offered to another customer. When I asked about it, I was told it was unavailable, which did not appear to be the case.This made the experience feel retaliatory and unprofessional.Customers dealing with major vehicle repairs are often already under stress. A little patience, transparency, and respect go a long way. My truck is essential to my livelihood, and while I understand not every repair can be approved, I expect consistent and fair treatment regardless.Unfortunately, I won?t be returning?The owner has since reached out and is working to resolve the issue.
