If you've had your car worked on you know the dealer is almost always the highest priced place, so this difference was shocking. I decided to have it towed to the dealer (to preserve my flywheel, as per their suggestion) and worked on there. When I told Christian Brothers I was doing this they told me to wait and they would see if they could do better. After 2 minutes on hold they came back and said that the "parts guy" and the mechanic were willing to come down a total of $800, getting the price to $3,600. At this point I had a bad taste in my mouth from all this and said I was going to have it towed anyways, and they told me to wait again to see if there were any coupons, and they came down another $100 for a total of $3,500. This price change was interesting because the previous day when I mentioned how expensive this was they just said it was unfortunate, but apparently there was $900 of wiggle room in the price after all. I said no thanks and I was going to have it towed anyways. To cap this long review off, I took it to the dealer and after a thorough inspection they found nothing wrong with the clutch or transmission and suggested that I didn't need any work done. I left there with only the $200 inspection fee payment. I proceeded to go from Lexington to Charleston SC and back in it (~1,100 miles) and it did totally fine. No slipping, no smell, nothing out of the ordinary. I am fully convinced they were trying to scam me out of a huge amount of money and even if they weren't the amount of wiggle room in their price is evidence enough that they are really trying to squeeze what they can get out of you. I would not suggest this place to anyone, for any reason. Avoid at all costs.'> Reviewed : 08/25/2025 Comment : The day before I took my car to them I overheated my clutch. It was slipping and had an awful smell. I took my car home immediately and let it cool down overnight, and the next day I took it to them and on the drive over it seemed totally fine, but I had a long drive coming up and wanted to have them check. I left it there and they told me later that day that "everything I mentioned was happening" and that it was a "rare motor" so it was difficult to get parts for, and they told me that even the local dealer didn't have the parts and only one of their suppliers had them. They told me the clutch needed to be replaced immediately or it would ruin my flywheel, which was another $2,200 part. The quote was $4,400 dollars which was shockingly high, so I decided to think about it.I called the dealer (Honda) and mentioned all this to them, and they told me the parts were readily available and the total price for labor + parts was $3,100. They set my anxieties to ease. It’s nice to go somewhere when they know what they’re doing. Top notch all the way from start to finish from the quick ride home to the process of my car, diagnostics installation of part to the end of the pricing and great care. I highly recommend this group. I will always return. I’m so happy I found them. 1 Reviews Alexandra garey Nicholasville, KY Reviewed : 08/23/2025 Comment : The ac on my show car broke for the third time.
