Comment : I brought my jeep in because the AC wasn't cooling. The technician reclaimed my refrigerant first, then discovered the compressor wasn't being called on. He then recommended that the ICM be replaced (for $1,1000). They then proceeded to replace it and found that it didn't fix the problem. They then wanted to keep it for several days in order to "locate" the problem.
I couldn't leave it with them, so they charged me $180 for the work and I picked it up. I then took it home and used a test light to locate the issue, which was the AC switch in the dash. I've ordered it from rockauto.com for $78.79.
If your "technicians" are just part changers, you're not a real mechanic shop.

Comment : I mostly DIY my care repairs. I've had a few things completed here that I was not able to get to because I don't have a lift. No issue on any repairs completed by them.
On my Honda odyessy altenator there P&L price was only slightly higher than my parts only price.

Comment : My wife and I were visiting Houston from Fort Worth and traveling to Lake Jackson to visit our grandkids when we heard a very loud sound coming from the front brakes.We use CB for all our automotive work so took our car to CB in Humble even though it was 3:00 Friday afternoon.Johnny Santana, the GM, took great care of us and got us in right away and completed all repairs in less than two hours. Comment : Charged $170 for a diagnostic and quoted over $800 to replace a computer that was functioning completely fine. The next shop's diagnostic was only $70 and they found the root of the problem in under and hour to be a battery cable.
