Comment : Broughy my car in for single part to be replaced with a quote they gave me over the phone. (i had the part). They Inspect my whole car with hopes i will spend more money. With now overcharged part im having them replace. They fix it and try to give me higher price than quoted (as expected) i explain and they drop down the price. Then my car has issues shifting and random bolts under the hood + they left my negitive battery terminal loose! (i got stranded.) Friendly staff and reasonable fix time minus the inspection money grab i didnt want.Broughy my car in for single part to be replaced with a quote they gave me over the phone. (i had the part). Comment : If you are looking for a long read, this is a detailed and honest review from someone with 50,000 miles worth of service done to their vehicle at this shop. I wish I could leave more stars, because Mike is a genuine guy who truly does care about his customers. But three feels appropriate given the good and the bad. He has called me during off hours to help me troubleshoot issues. He offered to drive me to work and come pick me up when my vehicle was ready. And he sends me pictures of work being done, along with any potential work needing to be done. He is a good guy that has always been very respectful and courteous to me. However, there have been multiple times where I felt the work should have been given another look over before returning the keys to me.One example was when my truck wasn???t starting. They determined it needed a new starter or a new battery. They did the work, returned my vehicle, and charged me for both. I looked under the hood the next day and noticed that the battery was still the exact same one as when I brought it in, so I went back and explained that I was charged for the battery but still had my original. They ???forgot to take it off the invoice??? and refunded me for the battery. I don???t think this was them trying to get extra money out of me. But even as an honest mistake, if I hadn???t checked myself after the work was done, I would have paid an extra few hundred dollars for something that was never done to my vehicle. In a recent example, I had an oil change and air filters replaced. It was returned to me with the check engine light on, so I went in to ask quickly and was told it should turn off after driving it a few miles. That did not happen, so I checked with Mike the next day and he led me to where the issue likely was over text. I found the problem and fixed it myself. Small issue, but if I am paying for work to be done, I shouldn???t need to go in after the service has been completed and paid for to fix something myself. After an engine tune up, the check engine light was on. Again, I was told it would turn off after driving but that didn???t happen. It began flashing on my drive home, so I stopped at an AutoZone to read the code. The code it was throwing said a cylinder was misfiring. I found that a coil pack was damaged because of the tune up. Mike called me and told me to bring it back in and that he would replace the coil pack. I don???t believe he charged me for that work which is nice, but again an issue that shouldn???t have happened or should have been caught prior to giving me my vehicle back. Not too long after that (maybe a week), the check engine light was back on for another misfiring cylinder. Frustrated, the next morning I brought it to the closest shop (not Certified Auto). The cylinder 8 sparkplug wire was damaged, and the tech said it was a result of recent work being done to it. I had them repair it on the spot for $180 as they could get the part delivered in 2 hours. Had to miss half a day at work for this on top of the additional expense. Those are the main examples, but even simple things felt like corners were being cut. Every oil change they say it comes with a free tire rotation. I mark my tires each time with chalk #1-4, and they have been in the exact same position every time. Similarly with windshield fluid, each report says it was topped off, but I had to come back the next day once to get it filled up because it never was done during service.I don???t mean to bash on the business because Mike is a VERY nice guy, even calling me while he was on a family vacation to help. But it does reflect poorly on him if his employees are not doing everything they say they are doing and leaving work (sometimes damage) for the owner of the vehicle to deal with. Personally, I will be bringing my vehicle elsewhere for service after this as the cons outweigh the pros in my eyes. If I am paying for work to be done, I don???t have the time to do it myself. The last thing I want to do is have to go back in after the service has been done or have to do any additional work myself. If you are looking for a long read, this is a detailed and honest review from someone with 50,000 miles worth of service done to their vehicle at this shop. Comment : After years of bringing various cars (Toyotas) to the dealer, and receiving their long lists of questionable and very expensive maintenance things my car needed, I decided to give Certified Automotive Solutions a shot. One thing I liked right away was how they actually showed me what the car needed; you don't get that at the dealer. I went ahead and authorized a number of things - brakes, tires, suspension. They did the work and I then discovered that they take accountability for their work and actually fixed any issues without charging me more. Finally, something happened that convinced me to leave the dealer for good. I went back to Toyota for an exhaust problem. The dealer quoted me $2,100 for a new exhaust system. I said no and took the car to Certified Automotive Solutions for a second opinion. They took a look (no charge) and said I only needed part of the exhaust replaced for $500. I went ahead with the work and the repaired exhaust works perfectly. If you are tired of paying really high maintenance prices at the dealer, if you are tired of wondering whether the maintenance the dealer proposes is really necessary, then I urge you to give Certified Automotive Solutions a shot. They only propose and charge you for what your car actually needs. Their prices are fair. They have integrity. You will be supporting a local Nashua business, not a large corporation who just wants to profit off you. After years of bringing various cars (Toyotas) to the dealer, and receiving their long lists of questionable and very expensive maintenance things my car needed, I decided to give Certified Automotive Solutions a shot.
