Comment : I have been using Caton Auto Clinic for more then 10 years and they have always been pleasant to work with and have done good repair work. At one point I had a alternator replacement which failed 3 weeks later. Caton Auto Clinic stood behind their work and replaced the failed alternator at no cost to us. Caton Auto Clinic goes out of their way to repair a auto and return it to the owner as soon as they can.I have been using Caton Auto Clinic for more then 10 years and they have always been pleasant to work with and have done good repair work. Comment : I had a great experience with Caton Auto Clinic! I was having an AC issue; the techs checked this out and also offered to complete (much needed) brake and oil changes while they had my vehicle - at reasonable prices. Getting my car to the shop is always a little complicated, given my work schedule, so I really appreciated not having to bring it in twice. I also appreciated that they gave my vehicle an honest inspection and provided me with clear receipts of their findings. And they're SO easy to work with logistically - there are early drop-off and after-hours pickup, as well as the ability to view inspection results remotely and pay online.

Comment : I love Caton Auto Clinic. Their service is spectacular and the prices are reasonable. Every employee whom I have met is friendly and knowledgeable, and very accommodating. This is especially true of Deana, with whom I interact frequently. Deana is very caring, and makes you feel at home.

Comment : I have been going to Caton Auto of Catonsville for some years now. I can always trust their service and the front office staff is very responsive and informative. Their pricing is quite reasonable and turn around time is generally good depending on the service of course. Recommended!

Comment : I had a previous terrible review posted for Caton Auto. It was a fair, accurate review and I stand by it (original post at the end). Eventually I complained enough that they unretired a general manager who seemed the only one to understand customer service and how to address warranty issues. They agreed to repair my vehicle. It took a year to get the warranty honored and to be heard. Let that sink in: a year. And they had to unretire a person to get customer service to happen. Crazy. So I scheduled the repair almost a month in advance. It still took them three days with minimal communication (even when they said I'd hear from them). Their report/system does not work/update as they expect it to but when I questioned it they just ignored me. And maybe I m just bitter but I am very surprised the unretired general manager (Mr. Kenny, if you re wondering who it is) never contacted me again to see why I was frustrated about the length of time it was taking. Or to see if the problem was finally resolved. Or to see if I d change my reviews. So, I am happy to report they honored the warranty but I would never recommend these guys unless you re desperate. If you re a woman, I would recommend you drive away as fast as your car can go. Original review: TL;DR they seem more honest with locals than with semi-locals who need warranty work. Chris is rude. Detail: I broke down on 695 and had to have my truck towed to Caton. It's important to note that I am NOT local, as I suspect they treat locals better than they have treated me. I ended up needing a new clutch which cost about $2,500. Sixish months later, the clutch was having problems and my home mechanic said to take it back to Caton because they need to replace it. I took my truck back to Caton and dropped it off. The next day Caton insisted they were unable to replicate the issue and I said I wouldn't be able to keep getting a ride an hour one way just to fit their schedule so Deana told me to call when I am nearby and experiencing the issue and they'll find someone to jump in and do a test drive with me and I agreed. Something changed after they had my truck because the symptoms were different, but maybe it was just a magical intervention. Now I'm having a grinding issue which is driveable but inconsistent. Caton texted me to check on the year anniversary of the clutch replacement and I told them I'm still having issues. Made an 8 am appt to drop it off and do a test drive with them. When I called the day of the appt AT THE TIME OF OPENING 7:30 am to say that with traffic I'd be there around 9/9:30 and should I reschedule the test drive, the rude man, Chris, who answered put me on hold ten minutes then said I'd have to arrive at 8 to do a test drive no exceptions. I could go into further detail about how rude Chris was, but I'll just say that if I could give negative stars then I would. I ended the call and spoke with another customer of theirs who is local. I also looked at the documents from prior visit. Both the other customer and my paperwork confirmed that test drives are done sporadically through the day. So I called, spoke with Deana (one of apparently only two women working there) and she explained staffing issues with having a tech do a test drive. I explained I don't care who rides with me but I do need them to acknowledge the issue and start the warranty work. With communication, we arranged a 9 am test drive and have now accomplished replicating the issue. It is not fixed, and I am very anxious that it never will be. If I were reviewing Deana it would be five stars but if I were reviewing Chris and the "foreman" I would give negative stars so I settled on a 2 star rating and a long explanation. I am still aggravated and my gears are LITERALLY GRINDING.
