My wife found Cass Automotive and they went right to work and had us back on the road in a timely manner. I would use them again and for sure recommend them to you. I specified this when scheduling the appointment; that we could drop the van off any day but needed it back within two days. We know the install can be done in this time frame. They went ahead and accepted the appointment we requested.Ended up dropping the van off Thursday at 9am (3/6/25), expecting to get it back by end of day Friday. Friday comes and they hadn't even started. They eventually started on Monday and we ran into an issue with a part we provided from a manufacturer not fitting, requiring some modifications. Both myself and my business partner had to swing by their shop on our own at different points and both shared with each other that we'd gotten some attitude from the guy that does the phones there, like he didn't want us to be there or didn't want our business. I don't know what the deal was but it was ironic that we both brought it up and had experienced the same feeling like we were somehow being an inconvenience to them.Anywho, the labor prices are pretty high even with the slight discount they give us for repeat business. And I really dislike how they park the vehicles on the street. I actually requested that they keep the van in the lot because it's over $250k, which they agreed to do, but they parked it on the street anyway. One time they backed one of the vans into some tree branches when parking it on the street; we buffed it out but it wouldn't have happened if they could accommodate more vehicles in their lot. Their location is amaizng, just a few blocks from the beach, so it's understandable that they aren't going to have a ton of space to store vehicles. That said, they always seem to have a bunch of old project vehicles taking up space; I don't know if these all belong to the owner or something but it seems to be the same cars taking up what could be storage for customer cars.All that said, I'd still recommend them if you're local. I just don't like the street parking and both me and my business partner had a weird experience feeling like there was some attitude from the phone guy with our last visit. Maybe he was just having a bad day, I don't know, we're all human and he's normally super chill so it was weird. San Diego, CA Reviewed : 04/01/2025 Comment : I only needed the rear view mirror & the front hood release latch replaced on my 2013 Mini Cooper. However, this shop has a policy which requires they perform a bumper-to-bumper inspection before they perform any maintenance or repair work on your vehicle. So, afterwards they presented me with a long list of recommended repairs (in desending order of necessity), totaling approximately $4.5K. I think they were a bit surprised, when after just a brief moment of reflection, I decided to put my complete faith in their ability to carry-out, & efficiently complete, their rather lengthy list of repairs, & I told the Service Manager, "Go ahead & do it all."
