Comment : We live in NW Philadelphia and my wife and I have taken cars here for some years. They take great care and can save a mass of money, for example, An exhaust bracket failed on our Volvo S60; Our Volvo dealer wanted $900 to fix it. Carpenter Lane Garage cost to repair was $65. Four-five years later, the repair is still great. They NEVER rip-off women with unnecessary repairs, as some garages do; this opinion is based on neighbors who we have sent to the garage (due to high quotes they had for numerous 'needed work' on their vehicles). All have been surprised and delighted with the quality of care, work and pricing.

Comment : Research your vehicle warranty before going here; it might save you time and money. They will not do it for you - instead they will charge you too much $$$ to diagnose the issue with your vehicle when it would have been covered under the manufacturer warranty at no charge the whole time. Save your money and go somewhere else. At least the courtesy driver was nice.

Comment : 10 Months ago I paid Christian Brothers $1,300 to replace the oxygen sensors in my 2016 F150 150K miles. The check engine light cam back on intermittantly about a month later. Today I paid a different auto service place $465 to replace the oxygen sensors again.

Comment : I set up an appointment to have a broken wheel stud replaced, at that time I requested an estimate but never received one. When I arrived to get the work done, I was told it would be $350. That was easily twice what I had expected. I declined the work and went to NAPA auto parts, bought a new stud, went home and did it myself in 1 1/2 hours. It cost me $16.93. I understand overhead and having to pay employees, but holy cow, let's at least try to be fair and reasonable. I feel bad for people who don't know any better or don't have the means or knowledge to repair things. For a place called "Christian Brothers," I sure didn't feel like they were looking out for their fellow man.

Comment : I am from Lubbock, my car started over heating and broke down on the road trip back from DFW so I had it towed to the nearest shop which was Christian Brothers in Weatherford. All next day I waited for them to diagnose my vehicle and authorized the $170 diagnostic fee. Until I got a phone call around 5pm saying "we ran tests drove it around and we didn't see anything wrong with it other than the coolant being low. So we topped of the coolant and bled out the air bubbles. It could have just been an air bubble." I paid $170 for a $10 gallon of antifreeze to be put in it and bled out. I pick it up after paying $170 and it breaks down and overheats on me in Sweetwater, 2 hours outside of Lubbock. I call back the next day after towing it to Lubbock and speak to Gary about my vehicle not being diagnosed properly. Ultimately, Gary and I come to the agreement if that I take it to the Christian brothers in Lubbock, they will take care of the diagnostic fee since it wasn't properly diagnosed. I took it to Lubbock and they told me I need a water pump. Everything was fine until I pick up my car from Lubbock and they are charging me the diagnostic fee. I called Gary back and put them on speaker with the Lubbock shop. Gary then says he will take it to his supervisor and figure it out. His supervisor calls me back 30 minutes later and said that he "was out of town, so his employees never got that arrangement approved" and then he says if he did something wrong he would absolutely take care of it but he "did nothing wrong" because they ran tests and drove it. In the end, Lubbock ended up helping me out by only making me pay $60. Meanwhile, Christian Brothers Weatherford left me out to dry both on the side of the road, and in my wallet. If you want them to "do nothing wrong" and take a chance on them diagnosing your vehicle, or not, then go ahead and give them business. Other than that, STAY AWAY

Comment : Wonderfully friendly team working there. Beautiful lobby for waiting. Definitely a nice place to wait especially if you're a woman or have kids. Much better than sitting on the curb at jiffy lube.
