Comment : Small town service at its best here. I had to make an unexpected trip towing a three-axel boat trailer and wanted to make sure everything was good to go before traveling 500 miles. Without an appointment, Carpenter Tire was able to get me in quickly, and do a complete check of the trailer. Using this trailer in saltwater, I anticipated there could be issues with wiring, brakes or bearings. They quickly checked it out, let me know what was wrong and had the bearings repacked and/or replaced by the next morning. One of the bearings was fried and wouldn?t have made it very far at high speed. The mechanic and service writer were both very experienced in dealing with trailers, bearings, hubs, wiring, etc. Great job by a longtime local business that shows it cares for its customers.

Comment : Our alternator gave out on us as we drove into town. These guys got us in the very next day, diagnosed and replaced with a new alternator the SAME day! We had our van back by close of business. And with a very reasonable bill. They were helpful, polite and showed integrity in their work and practice.
We are very thankful!

Comment : The crew here at Carpenter Point S were excellent from start to finish. I’ve brought my van to a few other shops who were either too busy or weren’t able to figure out what was going wrong. They took the time to diagnose my problem ensuring they made the correct fix on my 1995 Ford Econoline e150 rather than just throwing parts at it, however, they understood the urgency for me to get back on the road as I needed to be in Arizona within the week. Extremely knowledgeable and friendly people here. Would highly recommend!

Comment : Definitely a place you feel completely comfortable and safe to come to, Kenny was so genuinely helpful and informative through the entire process. Although I wasn’t able to fix my cars issue the day I came in (due to personal issues), I left knowing exactly what I needed, they did the best to make sure I was informed and safe. Thank you to all the staff who helped. I will definitely be back and will continue to recommend your services!!

Comment : We were in Brookings when our wheel bearings went out on our 2010 Tundra. They were able to fit us in at a moments notice, were incredibly friendly, went above and beyond to accommodate us since we were staying in the camper on our truck, and fixed our issue for a very fair price. We were very grateful to find them.

Comment : They have recently done two upgrades for my brand new F150 and I could not be happier! My retractable running boards had problems out of the box. With Murphy‘s creativity, skills, and determination, he figured out a workaround and made it work! I would definitely recommend Carpenter Point S.

Comment : Not just tires, Point S has amazing mechanics that do incredible work. Their work is clean and precise. They went above and beyond in the quality of service they provided for us on repairing our 2013 Ram 1500. We needed a water pump, new radiator and if you know anything about our make and model of truck you know about the infamous broken header bolts. They can really be a pain in the rear to remove. They were able to remove the broken bolts and replace the old headers with new ones that have a thicker base to prevent any future problems like that. Our truck now runs a lot quieter ( no Pop Pop Pop) and no longer has the smell of radiator fluid. My wife is happy now and LOVES the truck again and that is priceless.
We’ve been telling our friends about our great experience and we’ll be back anytime we need work done on our vehicles.
Thank you Point S for your amazing work.
