Comment : My last experience was for the yearly emissions test. I go in on Tuesday afternoon to see if i need an appointment. I was told first come first serve. I as if can come after 4pm and i am told sure. Wednesday i arrive a little after 4 and i was told the tech left at b 4. We talk and decide Saturday will be the best time as i work during theday. I arrive that Saturday and the same guy that told me Saturday was a good tells me the tech is off work. I had to elsewhere for my test. This place has been very good in the past and has done some major work for me but seem to be going downhill lately.My last experience was for the yearly emissions test. Comment : Nice waiting room and drink options is about all it has going for it. It is being rebranded so tried to keep that in mind. I am a sun auto customer. They just bought caliber and it's closer to home so tried it.They are still running it as caliber. Half of employees had caliber half had sun auto shirts. I counted 3 mechanics working on cars, 3 sales people (one to each mechanic bay), a manager and two desk employees.I went in for an oil change and state inspection and came out with $1200 worth of suggested repairs.They did come sit with me and explain it all but not looking to get upsold by my mechanic. I stopped going to caliber because of this tactic and was hopeful that they would be adopting sun auto methods. The sales person on my car said it's a new name but being run the same way. I hope she is wrong. If they run it this way I won't use them anymore.Hopefully this is just a growing pain with business getting bought. Comment : Fast service and good diagnosis, but way overpriced for some services. They wanted 2 grand for motor mount replacement. That's like 500 dollars in parts- so 1500 in labor to replace motor mounts? I had it done at another mechanic in cypress for $750 parts and labor.
