Comment : This is one review that I couldn't wait to write because of the exceptional service I received from Sam and Sun Auto Service. I normally have all my services done at the Maserati dealership as I own a Quattroporte. A few months ago I took my vehicle to them to repair a leak in my AC. I was quoted $5400.00 to repair the leak and that was "if" the condenser itself wasn't inoperable? A friend referred me to Sun Auto, formally Caliber Auto Service. I can't thank him enough!

I called the shop and spoke with a young gentleman named Sam. I explained what was going on with my vehicle and he told me I could bring it in thar day and they would diagnose the issue. This was on a Saturday so once I arrived Sam explained that they're closed on Sunday but first thing Monday morning they would jump right on it. Monday came and I received a call from Sam with a quote. It was $2200.00 but... not just for fixing the leak, but also to change all my filters and flush and fill all the fluids! You already know my answer. H__l yes!!

However here's where things get even better! I arrived to pick up my vehicle and Sam began by apologizing?? He stated that he had "OVER" quoted the work because they were given a price for a different part, which - happened to raise the price by $500.00!! So I went from $5400 at a different shop, to $2200 initially, to $1700 based on something many businesses would probably never do, which is be HONEST! I would've easily paid the $2200 and not complained one bit. However once they explained what happened, not only did they fix that car, I immediately brought my second car in that day for service! Their honesty has gained a customer for life. You could say they paid it forward! Sam... you're that dude!

Comment : Was a little leary since they've gone thru so many owners recently, used to feel very comfortable with the mechanics and staff. Now, front desk personnel was kinda blah, but it is what it is. Mine was a simple emissions inspection for 2 of my vehicles. But I will say, A. Jimenez is a standout employee, personable, great attitude, helpful and was very honest. Hard to find those qualities in a mechanic nowadays. Probably will be back.

Comment : It was the day before the Houston Art Car parade and my entry sprang a radiator leak! Trevor at Sun Auto went above and beyond to get our art car back on the road and into the parade. Comment : I will never again use Caliber Auto care. They will scam you for services not needed !I came in because my check engine light was on and I could not pass inspection. The diagnostic trouble code given to me by O'Reilly was code P0451 stating that my EVAP system pressure sensor was the cause and needed to replaced. I asked could they do it and the cost. They stated a detailed diagnosis had to be done for $99. I explained that I already knew what needed to be fixed, I just needed them to fix it. They still insisted it needed to be done before they could move forward. Once done they quoted me $1000.00 for parts and labor, none of which included the EVAP pressure sensor. I wasted $99 for them to lie to me and try to scam me for more money.Fast forward, I found a Mechanic that listened to me and fixed what I asked to be fixed, which was the EVAP system pressure sensor, and my check engine light is off and I was able to pass inspection.DO NOT USE CALIBER.I will never again use Caliber Auto care.
