Comment : If I could give less than one star, I would. Our experience with Harper Kia has been incredibly stressful and drawn-out when it should have been handled with professionalism and care. Our 2021 Telluride with 63,000 miles was in need of a new engine due to an “oil consumption” issue and was with them for over 9 weeks trying to get this covered under our CPO power train warranty.

The most frustrating part was how the staff, particularly Alex, the service manager, misinformed the warranty company, causing unnecessary delays and additional hoops for us to jump through. Instead of advocating for their customer, the dealership made things much harder for us. When you’re dealing with a major engine issue, you expect your dealership to be knowledgeable and to help you navigate the process — not to create confusion or make you feel like you’re on your own.

For anyone reading this who’s dealing with the same situation: do not let them convince you that an engine tear down is required to prove engine failure. Our borescope inspection was enough to get the issue covered under warranty once the correct information was finally provided. We know this because of countless hours on the phone with Kia and JMA warranty, eventually finding out that the standard procedures to get this covered were not ever done or even mentioned by the dealership.

After this experience, I can confidently say I would never recommend C. Harper Kia to anyone looking for honesty, communication, or competent customer service.

Comment : Tried charging me $14,000 for a transmission that was in for a torque converter it took about 4 days and they never even looked at the vehicle i told them I wasn’t interested and they threatened to charge me for a lot fee one day later I sent a tow truck driver but he was unable because of the vehicles blocking their lot. Very disappointed and wouldn’t recommend unless warranted or turned into insurance

Comment : It took 2 trips of the vehicle to the dealership for them to find the current draw causing the battery to go dead. 2nd trip required the truck to be flat bedded to the dealership, and I had to use AAA because your roadside assistance refused to tow it for repair because it was too far (15 miles)
