Comment : I brought the car I was going to give to my daughter (after I had driven it for 3+ years) into C&J because I knew there were a bunch of issues that needed to be fixed before handing it over to her. The diagnostic was extremely thorough (with pictures of the problems) and found issues I had knew were there but another shop didn't find. Sadly, the cost of the repairs were more than I had originally paid for the car and I decided to not get it fixed, so I honestly can't tell you about C&J's ability to fix cars (yet).

Why am I telling you this? Well, Jake was extremely sympathetic to the situation I was in. I had already assumed that the cost of the repairs was not going to be worth it, so my wife and I were looking for different vehicles for my daughter. We had set up a test drive of a vehicle and I asked Jake if I could bring it by C&J just to get his gut check of the vehicle before buying it. The only thing he requested of me was a 30 minute warning.

We picked up the vehicle and I already knew there were issues. The windshield was cracked, the AC didn't work and there was some strange sounds coming from the wheels when turning. In my opinion, the fixes on this vehicle would be fairly minimal in comparison and would bring down the purchase price of the vehicle.

I brought it to Jake and he did a test drive. He had the same concers that I had, and asked if he could "lift it really quick." He took it into the garage and lifted it, finding some MAJOR issues with the "repairs" from what was obviously an accident. He told me to steer clear of the vehicle, and I can't thank him enough for helping me avoid a huge problem.

The biggest compliment to Jake and C&J: I was not charged a dime for anything I just described. He understood I am just trying to give my daughter a safe car, and he WANTS to help me do that! C&J is located on the spot that used to be Bob's Garage, and they acted in the same fashion. I'm extremely happy to find a mechanic that cares as much as Jake and C&J.
