Comment : Normally I deal with Adam, who is delightful and helpful, but this time Pawel was my advisor. I came in for a state inspection only. Pawel told me that he was unable to reset my brake light because my spouse did the brakes and didn’t replace the sensor, then called my spouse “a liar” when I said that it took his about 10 minutes to replace the brake pads. I told him that I was right there when he did the job and Pawel responded by saying that my spouse “rushed the job.” All this before the Service Department even looked at my car.
I left the car there and consulted with my spouse, who said that he actually did replace the sensor with the brake pads, so I texted Pawel, who said he would reset the light. Later Pawel texted me and said that the part was sub-par and he couldn’t reset the brake light so he would put a reject sticker on the car until the sensor was upgraded. I purchased a new sensor from the BMW dealership when I picked up the car and replaced it with my spouse, which took a couple minutes. Hopefully BMW doesn’t find their own part sub-par when I return for another inspection. (Btw, both sensors have the same part number and BMW stamped on the sensor.) I will not deal with Pawel in the future thanks to his comments.
