Comment : I tried this auto repair shop based on the reviews and I was not disappointed. Tia and Dontrell were very professional and courteous.Tia was very accommodating considering that I didn’t have an appointment. Tia explained in detail the issue with my car. She made sure that I was satisfied with my service. I was throughly pleased with my experience at AutoStream Car Center. Not sure how I didn’t know about this place sooner.

Comment : 2025 update: Have just returned to live in Columbia and was delighted to bring both my vehicles back to AutoStream for MD safety inspections. One vehicle required immediate repairs and to my surprise was done in LESS THAN 24 HOURS, allowing me to get both vehicles registered the very next day. FAR exceeded my expectations for timely service, and Tia is FANTASTIC to work with. Friendly, professional, and kept me abreast via their excellent online messaging system. I will be taking both vehicles here for service for as long as I'm here!
2022:Have had state inspection as well as routine maintenance done here. Both times were done sooner than promised, both times extremely professional and friendly service. I drive a 2019 Honda Civic so there's no major work being done (knock wood) but so far I'm very pleased and will continue to take it there for service. And in walking distance in my neighborhood as a bonus!

Comment : I had a negative experience at this facility. My engine light has been coming on and I called for assistance and no one has contacted me I spent over $4000 on the work that was done to my vehicle , Overly expensive and bad customer service.

Comment : A place that I could trust with the maintenance of my car is somewhere I had sought out for and this AutoStream Car Care Center is the exact place for that. I went earlier in July for some maintenance on my car and the warm customer service by Tia and Dontrell was exceptional. The communication was also great. They even called me about a week after to check if everything was going well with my car, a courtesy that I appreciated. I waited until my recent second visit for an issue that I knew I would need to return for to write a review. I waited to observe if I would experience the same customer service, maintenance and communication as I experienced during my first visit. Everything was the same. I have finally found an auto shop that I can trust not only with the cost of the maintenance, but also the quality of the service provided. Thank you!

Comment : I was quoted $1,600 for a full rear brake job, including the brake cylinders. That price immediately felt way too high, so I asked for an itemized breakdown. I was told they don't like to print or email estimates and prefer to review it in person or on the phone -- which was strange to me, and now I see why. My friend, who is a service advisor and works at a shop that uses the same exact labor rate system with the same hourly cost, stepped in and called the shop on my behalf to question the charges. After that conversation, the quote suddenly dropped to $1,000 -- a $600 decrease. But when I asked about the price, I was told that $1,600 was standard and correct. To be clear, I don't believe this was an honest mistake. Any experienced service advisor, especially one that has made a career of this, would immediately recognize that $1,600 for a basic rear brake and cylinder job is drastically off. This truly felt like more than just a miscalculation. It felt like a clear attempt to take advantage of a customer who may not have known better. I ultimately had the full rear brake job and cylinders completed elsewhere -- with shop-supplied parts -- for $530. That's nearly one-third of the original quote, over $1k less spent on the same job. The discrepancy was from overlapping labor -- meaning they were billing separately for two services (brakes and cylinders) that are done together at the same time. Although I was told the service advisor didn't understand the overlapping labor/the mechanics had to explain this "mix up," and it was a mistake on the systems behalf which made both of the jobs labor costs mutually exclusive, any seasoned service advisor would have seen this quote as an astronomical price and immediately would have known something was not right. Bottom line: If I didn't have someone knowledgeable in my corner, I would've paid $1k more than necessary. Always get multiple quotes from different shops. Ask for the breakdown in writing. Yeah, yeah, kinda I was trying to look for like If you're not familiar with car repair pricing, bring someone who is. SMH

Comment : I had an unexpected issue with my car and needed immediate service. Although I’d never been to this location before, I had driven by it several times. I gave them a call and spoke with Dontrell, who was great to work with—super helpful, knowledgeable and easygoing. They were able to get me in the same day and took care of the repair quickly.

I highly recommend this shop, especially for repairs that other places might not be able to handle. Their pricing was more than fair, and I’ll definitely be recommending them to others. This place is truly a hidden gem that more people need to know about!
