Comment : After a frustrating experience, I did get an apology for the whole ordeal + we were not charged for the repairs. The car is thankfully back to charging regularly.

Comment : Car buying was not supposed to be this fun and this easy, but Chante Bates helped me pick out the perfect car. She listened to me and made sure I got exactly what I wanted. Reggie Jones was a fantastic finance manager and Yusef and David made sure I knew everything about the car before I drove it home. The entire team was fair, reasonable, patient, ethical, and hardworking. The dealership and service area are pristine. I highly recommend this dealership.

Comment : Wendell was professional, knowledgeable, funny, helpful, friendly, and patient from the time he greeted us in the showroom to test driving the car to working the numbers a few days after we met him to finally closing the deal!

At our final stage, Reggie was also professional, knowledgeable, friendly, funny, and helpful!

Everyone we interacted with at Volvo South Bay was great!

The entire process of leasing a car took about 4.5 hours, and we were tired and hungry. Although they have a vending machine and a self service coffee/tea area with a sofa and TV, better options for snacks/food would be useful, especially for a Volvo dealer! When we purchased a car at Honda, they fed us a nice hot meal while we waited for the paperwork to be generated. Volvo, however, offers free car washes without an appointment needed, so I'll gladly accept the car washes, thank you!

Comment : Can't say enough wonderful things about Wendell Denson at Volvo South Bay. I contacted him yesterday after a miserable search for various car models (and almost giving up). Wendell gave me a great deal, and honored it! I came the next day and the car I essentially bought over the phone was waiting for me. Wendell is also extremely kind and patient, and never pulled the "why don't you bring your husband in with you" !!!

This car buying thing can be a total nightmare but I really have to say that Wendell was wonderful. It's also a very nice dealership, clean comfortable, a nice vibe while you're waiting.

The finance manager and the tech guru who helped show me how the car works we're all very nice. It's not a fast process, but it was extremely pleasant. I had a friend with me who needed to make a business call and they even gave her an office to make it from while we waited.

I got a Volvo C40 all electric. I love it!

Take it from me, there are a lot of terrible car dealers out there. Volvo cars South Bay is a hidden gem.

Comment : I've been driving volvo for 9 years and leased 3 cars from Van Nuys  and Culver City locations. I needed to come to the South Bay location to return my leased vehicle so I called to book an appointment for end of lease return. I was transferred to sales department, ended up speak with the sales person, who told me to come in to test drive because they will try to work to meet my hard budget. After the test drive, the sales person came with the number that's way out of my budget and i felt I just wasted my time to even come in. As I walk out the sales person's office, he continued to criticize the car that I'm planning to get next, completely trashing my option and what I value.   Is this the old way of selling car by intimidating and criticizing the customer? Disappointingly unprofessional and unpleasant. Now I am unable to reach the service department to book a rerun of vehicle inspection as I keep being transferred to different department or voicemail and no one calls me back. I would give zero star if I could. Please go to Van Nuys or Culver city Volvo for much more professional and pleasant experience. After working with three different volvo, this is the worst and it's usually empty and i see why. I was a loyal customer for many years but at the end, south bay volvo sadly ruined my entire experience with Volvo.

Comment : Our XC60 plug-in hybrid stopped charging consistently and I brought it to the dealership.

When I shared the issues with the technician he asked if I knew how to plug in the vehicle and proceeded to show me how. I've been driving this car for almost five years, i think it's safe to say i know how to plug it in. It's been over three weeks since they have had our car as they continue to try different batteries and apparently the fuel cells aren't charging. I think it will be almost five weeks before we get it back.

For a loaner I've been given a XC40. Thankful for the loaner but this car is a bit small (first world problems, I get it). Unfortunately we ran into an issue of a flat (nail in the tire). We couldn't even get the spare on because the KEY to get the tire off wasn't in the car. So a spare with no way to take off the tire. The technician again asked me if I knew where it was...yes, the space is empty.

Then instead of offering to come tow the car and provide a new loaner, it was shared that if that happened I would need to pay $500 for a new tire. Sooo again, to hopefully get a tire plugged vs purchase a new one bc they don't fix tires. We have Costco tires on our current vehicle which offers an excellent warranty program.

So now, I'm waiting for them to deliver the tire key, so I can take off more time from work.

Needless to say, it's been a frustrating experience.

Comment : If you're planning to get it car wash here I recommend you watch them in person because they scratch off some paint damage in front of my car. I double checked when I arrived at their lot and there was never any cosmetic paint damage in front of my car but after the car wash on 10/14/23, I saw some paint scuffed in the front bumper of my xc 40. I talked to Jaime Gomez who was in charge that day and kept saying it's less likely it's our fault because we hand wash the cars here. I asked them if I can review the cameras who were working on my car that day and the employees kept saying the cameras aren't able to capture this small of a detail. In the end they only offered touch up paint to try to conceal the scratch on the car. If you ask me they should be responsible for replacing the whole front bumper. Very disappointed. Most likely I'm going to make a report to the head department about this.

Comment : I brought my car twice for maintenance here and the service has been excellent. Took care of issues right away, they provide complementary Uber service to/from home or office and a car wash.
I have worked with Alex both times and he is super helpful and professional. The dealership is also very clean with coffee or tea and comfortable seating.
Great quality that matches great with luxury of their vehicles!

Comment : The enviroment is clean and simple. Their is a model in each catagory. Their was no one who came to greet customers nor was their anyone who came to help. Sales people needs to be more aware of who is in their dealership.
