Comment : While driving home to Mandeville, La. From visiting my daughter in Porter,Tx. I got on the Atchafalaya spillway. Shortly after, I noticed that my air conditioning was blowing hot air and the water temperature on my vehicle bottomed out. I was able to add water at the Atchafalaya spillway rest stop and make it home to Mandeville without any further problems.
The next day I called Jason, the owner of the Automotive Center of Mandeville and made arrangements to bring my car in and have it checked out. Jason's mechanic Bryan, ran tests and checked the sensors on my car and found everything was in order. I asked Jason to change out the coolant and the water I added to my radiator for coolant only.
Jason could have told me my car NEEDED a new radiator, or the sensors were bad and needed to be replaced. Not knowing any better, I would have told Jason to replace the bad parts and fix my car.
I believe Jason the owner and Bryan his mechanic run an honest business and give their customers the best prices they can. Having a neighborhood business you can trust to give you the BEST service and pricing in today's day and age is very important And at Automotive Center of Mandeville you get that.

Comment : I don?t typically leave two star review but beware. I brought my jeep here, after a good friend told me her wonderful experience, for transmission noises and a roaring sound. I asked for ceramic brake pads around the entire car and oil change. They had my jeep just about a week. I get it back and was informed they only did rear pads and rotors. They ?couldn?t hear? any whining sound in the transmission and if I didn?t wanna hear the roaring sound just ?turn off? traction control. I left parking lot and my jeep was still making all the sounds they ?couldn?t hear? oh and I was charged almost $700 ?.

Now my jeep is at rainbow with in fact a transmission problem and the valve cover gasket needs to be replaced. I think they figured out the issues and didn?t wanna get involved with it. Which is fine that?s their right, just say that.. but to lie and say they don?t hear anything and make you feel crazy is another thing!

Comment : These guys are amazing! I am a solo woman traveling for work and it freaks me out trying new shops after experiencing shops that take advantage and overcharge. I came in from out of town for work, and had a surprise issue with my A/C. They got me in last minute and, thank the Lord, noticed that I was riding on a dangerously worn tire due to a recent alignment issue (it was bad and I had no idea). In the end, they took care of me with the a/c, but also worked with me for the tires for VERY fair prices and SO quickly! They explained their whole process in detail patiently, and gave me the lowest prices they could (cheaper than Firestone, my old shop but wanted to get away from).

I wish this could be my local shop, I can't recommend them enough.

Comment : My car was making a noise for a better part of 2 weeks. I almost started looking for another car, but ended up hating everything I test drove. Upon asking my coworkers for a local mechanic I can trust to not take advantage of my lack of auto knowledge this place had been recommended. They were not wrong. The mechanic found exactly what was making the noise. So much better than having to buy a new car. Will definitely be back!

Comment : I just wanted to share my experience for anyone else who may find themselves in a similar position. I was told by my dealership that I needed a rather immediate brake job done, amongst a laundry list of other things. I reached out to Jason first by calling - he was kind, courteous, thorough, and went out of his way to explain things to me regarding the (many) questions I had. I wanted to have someone else take a look at my brakes to see if I truly needed them replaced. I did wind up bringing my vehicle by, which he had his mechanic look at: turns out, replacing brake pads/rotors/etc was NOT dire, as my dealership led me to believe. Now, Jason & his mechanic *could* have told me, “Yes, you need new brakes and also XYZ 123 right now. Here’s our breakdown of parts & labor plus tax for a full quote, we can get you scheduled in next week.” But they didn’t. They reassured me that they were in good condition for the time being, gave me a general timeline for when I SHOULD anticipate having this repair done, and also warned me of things I should keep eyes/ears out for, should they need attention sooner. These guys are honest and just overall great people. I will be taking my business to Automotive Center of Mandeville from this point on for anything I’m unable to do myself, because it’s exactly this type of business that deserves such recognition and accolades. The biggest, most sincere thank you from a girl just trying to do her best!

Comment : I can’t say enough good things about Automotive Center of Mandeville. My car has been through it! The first mechanic messed things up, second mechanic was overpriced and rude when I called back about my check engine light. I was honestly exhausted and discouraged, just praying to finally find someone I could trust.

That’s when I found Jason and Dale at Automotive Center. From the very first interaction, they were so kind, so genuine, and immediately made me feel like I wasn’t just another customer. And Brian, their mechanic, is beyond impressive! He really knows his stuff, and it shows. For the first time ever, I actually met the mechanic working on my car, and that level of honesty and connection gave me so much peace of mind.

They gave me the best price on diagnosing my car, but even more than that, they gave me respect, trust, and care. My only regret is not finding them sooner. I’ve finally found my shop, and I’ll never go anywhere else.
