Comment : We've been taking our cars to Automobile Diagnostics for at least 25 years. In fact, we live in Florida now but I time our oil changes with our visits back to Columbus just so the professionals at Automobile Diagnostics can service our car.
I've valued their advice on taking care of my cars over the years. They are honest, professional, and knowledgeable.

Comment : ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Absolutely Outstanding! They Solved a Problem I Thought No One Could Fix!

My 2009 Toyota Prius was driving smoothly, but it had an extremely rare and critical problem that no one seemed able to diagnose correctly. To be honest, I had almost given up hope. I truly didn't think anyone would be able to fix it.

The issue was terrifying. While driving on the interstate at 50–70 mph, the Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) light, red master warning triangle, check engine light, brake warning light, and another warning light would suddenly come on together with a loud continuous warning beep. At the same time, the A/C would stop blowing cold air, even though the fan continued to run. It was a frightening experience, especially at highway speeds.

Whenever I pulled over, turned the car off, and restarted it, all of the warning lights would disappear except the red triangle and check engine light, and the A/C would start cooling again. The problem was extremely intermittent, making it very difficult to diagnose.

Brad (Owner) and Don (Manager) at Automobile Diagnostics never gave up. Instead of guessing or replacing expensive parts that weren't needed, they took the time to thoroughly diagnose the vehicle, identify the true root cause, and repair it correctly. Their knowledge, experience, honesty, patience, and attention to detail were truly impressive. Pricewise very reasonable.

Finding mechanics like Automobile Diagnostics with this level of integrity and diagnostic expertise is rare. They treated my vehicle as if it were their own and earned my complete trust.

Comment : After taking our 2015 Jeep Wrangler to multiple repair shops and replacing countless parts without solving the problem, we finally brought it to Automobile Diagnostics—and they found the issue in just a day and a half.

The Jeep had been repeatedly going into limp mode, and no one else could pinpoint the cause. It was throwing the following diagnostic trouble codes:

P0522

P0335

P0642

P2122

P2135

Most of the codes indicated low-voltage circuit faults. After clearing the codes, five permanent codes would remain related to the throttle pedal circuit and oil pressure sensor. Once driven, those permanent codes would disappear until the Jeep would suddenly go back into limp mode the following day.

Before bringing it in, we had already replaced:

Aluminum oil cooler (replacing the factory plastic unit)

Aluminum lower intake manifold

Oil filter adapter wiring harness (replaced due to one shop who worked on it saying it had oil contamination damage to exposed wiring)

OEM alternator

OEM throttle body

OEM camshaft and crankshaft position sensors

OEM accelerator pedal sensor

We replaced everything ourselves except for the wiring harness, oil cooler, and intake manifold, yet the problem persisted.

Automobile Diagnostics systematically diagnosed the vehicle instead of guessing or throwing more parts at it. They identified the root cause as a faulty oil pressure switch/sensor, which was causing the Jeep to enter limp mode. After replacing the sensor, the issue was resolved.

I highly recommend Automobile Diagnostics. Their diagnostic process, attention to detail, and ability to find what several other shops couldn't saved us from spending even more money on unnecessary parts. If you're dealing with a difficult electrical or drivability issue, they're well worth the visit.

Comment : I do most of my own automotive work, but had Auto. Diagnostics look at the A/C system on my Honda because I lack the equipment to do so myself.

I was impressed with the team and the process they utilized to troubleshoot my issue and recommend simpler solutions vs more complicated solutions as a remedy. I had great interactions with Don, Josh, and Tammy. For the diligence performed on my car (step by step diagnosis, testing process) I thought the cost was quite reasonable.

I also watched them interact with other customers that might not be as "car-savvy" as myself and appreciated the professional manner they conducted themselves with - presenting their findings of the condition of the car and making recommendations based upon those findings to maintain good working condition of the vehicle and not specifically trying to "sell stuff".

I also liked that they were more forthcoming with their credentials (e.g. technician certifications, affiliation with BBB) than other places, which made me feel more comfortable that i was more likely to have a better result

While I will continue to do my own work (as I am able), I would not hesistate to take my car to Auto. Diagnostics again and would encourage you to consider them for your needs as well.

Comment : Our car's extended warranty just and we had an oil leak. I also needed some other maintenance work that I had been putting off done. Automobile Diagnostics was able to discover the oil leak, inspected the car for other issues, suggested the maintenance I needed and priced everything out so it was clear and understandable. They explained my options and what needed to be done and what could wait. I felt no pressure. The best part is the cost to repair the oil leak was way way less than I expected. So much less in fact that I got the other issues fixed and all the maintenance work done too. And the total cost was below what I had budgeted. I'm so happy with the service and will be bringing my car back.
