They put a credit on my account to make up for this, and the issue was resolved. I was very happy with the effort the auto lenders team put into making sure their customers are happy with the services they receive.Original: I?ve owned many cars from Autolenders and when I have to get them serviced I have always taken them here. Every single time I bring my car here whether it?s an oil change or a diagnostic I am waiting for a minimum of 2 hours and that?s being generous. I?ve tried scheduling appointments at different times throughout the day and different days of the week but every time I?m waiting longer. I understand I don?t have to wait, that I can leave and they?ll call when they?re done, but I feel that will only allow them to take longer. I always get told ?oh it?s a day? or ?sorry we?re very busy? and I get that but every single time I have to come here? Berlin, NJ Reviewed : 04/29/2026 Comment : Broke down at night in Berlin, NJ. AAA said Auto Lenders was the closest authorized repair shop nearby. I googled them and saw the many 1-star reviews. Called AAA back and wanted another shop. Yada, Yada, yada AAA was short on tow trucks but had one nearby servicing another vehicle who could do a short tow and again suggested Auto Lenders. Despite our misgivings, we agreed. But first I put the car symptoms into two AI tools and both said it was likely the alternator. When I dropped the form with the keys into the drop box, I put the symptoms and suggested the alternator. Also said they were authorized to repair up to $450 without calling. To condense the story, they wanted $450 just to diagnose the issue. Then two days later came back with an estimate of $10k to repair the car. My husband asked if they had checked the alternator. They said they could not because the car had no power. We said we would pay the diagnostic fee but that we were renting a trailer to pick up the car and taking it back home to our trusted garage, which we did. The local garage diagnosed the issue as the alternator and also fixed a ground wire and put on new brake pads. $2k.? Oh, and Auto Lenders also tried to sell us a new car...the $450 diagnostic fee would be credited toward the purchase. Dylan from Corporate reached out personally to assure me I was a valued customer and that they'd be working behind the scenes to drive a proper resolution. That outreach immediately reset the tone. Shop Manager Ron walked me through the diagnosis in detail, and Service Manager Brandan along with mechanic Joe were hands-on in identifying and correcting the issue after test driving the car with me. I'm thrilled to report the repair now feels absolutely dialed in. Ride and handling are fully restored -- and at 161K miles, the car drives as good, if not better, than when I bought it at 16K. That's no small feat. Kudos to the mechanics for truly knocking this one out of the park. As a courtesy for the difficulties, Auto Lenders absorbed the cost of the additional parts, labor, and required alignment -- a resolution that was both generous and greatly appreciated. I also want to recognize the corporate team for stepping in and putting customer satisfaction into real, meaningful action. As an entity, Auto Lenders proved to be more than the sum of its parts. Berlin, NJ Reviewed : 02/12/2026 Comment : CONSUMER WARNING -- DO NOT USE THIS SHOP Update : 2/2026 This has been an exhausting, ongoing nightmare involving my Honda Civic, with the first suspension repair dating back to November 2023 -- and the issue remains unresolved. The shop replaced my shocks and struts with cheap aftermarket parts that were not up to required specifications. Those parts failed -- repeatedly. Since Auto Lenders Service began addressing the problem, my vehicle has been in two of their repair facilities across six separate visits. As of today, this marks the 8th shock absorber/strut replacement tied to the same suspension failure. I am paying another $600 today, bringing my total out-of-pocket cost to over $2,000 for repeat repairs that should have been corrected properly the first time. To be fair, Auto Lenders did cover 3 of the 8 failed parts -- once under warranty and once as a courtesy. However, partial coverage does not offset the constant inconvenience, lost time, and ongoing disruption this has caused. More importantly -- this is a safety issue. Driving with unresolved suspension problems affects braking stability, tire wear, steering control, and overall road safety. No customer should be put in a position where they are repeatedly returning for the same critical suspension repair while continuing to operate the vehicle in compromised condition. I came to Auto Lenders Service because I purchased the vehicle through that company and expected accountability and quality workmanship. That expectation has not been met.
