Comment : I highly recommend Auto Express in Tyler. I've taken several of my vehicles to them over the years, and there's a reason I continue to trust them with my vehicles. Most recently, I brought in my 2011 Chevy Silverado with several issues that needed to be addressed. One thing that really stood out was my rear drum brakes. At first, it looked like they were going to need to be replaced. After doing a thorough inspection, though, they determined that they were actually still good and did NOT need replacing. They easily could have gone ahead and replaced them, charged me for the work, and I probably never would have known the difference. Instead, they were honest and told me I didn't need to spend the money. To me, that says a lot about the kind of shop you're dealing with. Brock, the service manager, is also great to work with. He's extremely knowledgeable and, probably just as importantly in my case , VERY patient with all the questions I always have. He takes the time to answer them and explains what they found, what they repaired, and what may still need to be addressed. I never feel like I'm being rushed out the door just because I have questions. Are they always the cheapest shop? No. But they're very fair, and you get what you pay for. I'd much rather pay to have something properly diagnosed and repaired the first time than save a little money on a temporary fix and end up right back at the shop. I've taken several vehicles to Auto Express, and I've never had to bring one back because the same problem wasn't fixed correctly. There are no Band-Aid fixes here. They take the time to diagnose the problem and fix what actually needs fixing -- and they're honest enough to tell you when something DOESN'T need to be fixed. Finding a repair shop you can trust with your vehicles is important. If you're looking for an honest, knowledgeable, fair, and thorough shop in the Tyler area, I absolutely recommend Auto Express. They've earned my business, and I'll continue taking my vehicles to them.

Comment : This place is a joke! They literally charged me $437 dollars the first day and then $327 dollars the next day to move my own parts that where on my truck originally to “try” and see if I had a bad fuel injector when I went in for a misfire on cylinder 8. I left the shop and within 10 miles I still had the same issues. They had my truck for a total of 4 hours and claimed I was rushing them.
The tech even told me it could be internal and that it was possibly my lifters on my truck which would cost thousands to repair. I took it to another mechanic and he found the problem within 30 minutes and fixed my truck.
Do not trust this place! Money isn’t my issues, it’s the fact that they charged me all together almost $800 and still did not figure out the problem to my truck. They are price gouging and over rated!!! Claiming “everyone here is a master technician “ is why we charge so much.

Comment : We are very happy with the service we received today from Auto Express. We didn’t have an appointment but called with a problem with our air conditioner on our Ford truck. They had it fixed within 3 hours! Very nice people to work with. Highly recommend.

Comment : I give Auto Express 5☆ because of the quality of their work and how they genuinely care for their customers. Patrick and his employees are professional are very knowledgeable. They always call you before they do anything on your vehicle. I have taken multiple vehicles to Auto Express to either get a diagnostic or getting something repaired they were upfront and honest about what need to be done. I had a 2006 Toyota Sienna's front struts replaced. I also had a 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan GT that wasn't running right and started knocking. Patrick diagnosed the problem and found out the 3 of the cams were eaten up. His crew totally rebuilt the top end of the engine and it ran like a dream. I have recommended Auto Express to multiple and if or when I have car issues in the future this is the auto shop I'll be taking it to. Highly recommend these these guys as they lead with integrity!

Comment : Auto Express -Whitehouse Texas. I had an engine issue. They did a Diagnostic and told me that I needed a complete rebuilt engine installed. I took my vehicle to another auto service and it was a very minor issue for the cost of a minor part and install. Auto Express - Whitehouse Texas is either totally crooked, incompetent or both! Also on checking the cost of engine rebuilding at other Auto shops they were the highest cost of all. The cost ranged from 6.5k to 10k. The average was about 8.5k. They wanted 12.5k. The highest of all. Again I would not trust them. Totally taking advantage of customers. Upon inquiring from others - 2 other friends said, they had taken their cars there and were told they also required a engine rebuilt and installed. They also got a second opinion and their car did not require it. Steer clear of this crooked disreputable auto service provider. Other have also told me they are as high or higher than dealerships for basic services.
