We were charged a full labor fee for a window regulator/motor installation that, lasted a mere ten minutes after driving from there shop. To add insult to injury, the issue persisted immediately after their "repair."When we brought the car back, they blamed our newly purchased part (which wasn't through them but still OEM) as faulty and, despite their supposed expertise, suggested to buy another part and pay another $240 in labor to "correct" the problem – effectively charging us twice for their initial failure. The shop manager, to his credit, seemed to understand our frustration, but claimed his "boss" flatly refused any guarantee on their labor, forcing us into an unacceptable choice: pay again for their mistake or leave with a broken window. This incident clearly demonstrated that All Star Automotive does not stand behind its work. It took my son and me approximately 30 minutes to correctly diagnose the issue and about an hour to resolve it ourselves. This glaring disparity between their "professional" service and our amateur fix speaks volumes about their quality and accountability. Now, because of their shoddy work, our son has to drive his car all the way back to Texas with a compromised window, adding significant inconvenience and concern to an already frustrating situation. Save yourself the frustration, wasted money, and potential cross-state headaches; look elsewhere for reliable auto repair in Columbia.'> Reviewed : 06/23/2025 Comment : All Star Automotive - A Costly 10-Minute Mistake and a Long Drive HomeAs Texans with a son attending college in Columbia, Missouri, we heavily rely on online reviews when choosing local services.
