Comment : Had several alerts (CHECK AWD SYSTEM, TRAC OFF, CHECK ENGINE), rough transmission shifting, and higher than normal RPM for speed. Took in about 9am and got call after diagnostics that needed new battery and transmission fluid flush. Authorized these and picked up car about 5pm—cost $836. Alerts and driving conditions STILL EXISTED. They recommended transmission repair or replacement.

Limped back to home in Texas at greatly reduced speeds due to the high RPM. I had an Auto Parts store run OBD codes and found that the Knock Sensors were both in Alert (Failed). Took the car to my local automobile repair shop who confirmed the cause and repaired it for $1,123 by them taking the engine manifold off, replacing the two Knock Sensors that were shorted out by a rodent chewing the main harness wire. Also replaced harness. The engine was in the “Limp Home Mode” due to the knock sensors.

But they were nice.

Comment : Using all star for all my vehicle maintenance and repair needs since 2021. I have been very happy with their service, turn around time, and pricing. Really appreciate their willingness to work around my schedule and the courtesy car drivers they get are a joy to ride with.
The text message diagnostic reports are detailed and I have found those very helpful when unexpected and expected maintenance/repairs have been needed. Their service follow ups are very well timed, it’s like they know the odometer reading, so I never miss an oil change.
Joe has been my main point of contact and he has been very helpful in making sure my vehicles are taken care of and safe for my family to travel in.
I’ve given them a Ford, Honda, and Kia to work on in my time using their services and have kept them all running smoothly and safely
Thanks to the All Star Automotive team!

Comment : I initially took my 2021 Nissan Titan to the dealership for a problem. It would not start each morning until around the third or fourth attempt. This would only happen in the morning and afterwards start and run fine the rest of the day. The Nissan mechanic had my truck for approximately four hours. During that time they approached me and said during their 21 (?) point inspection that my rear brakes need replacing. I said sure go ahead and fix them. They never once mentioned that they could not find my electrical problem with my starter. So I get the bill at the end of the work and learn to find out the starter problem was not fixed. I then said I wanted to talk to the mechanic. He (Nissan mechanic) says he could not find the problem on his scanner. He then tells me with a straight face that "there is only one Nissan Titan on record with the same problem as my truck". He also said that since my problem only occured on initial start up in the morning he could not reproduce the problem unless I leave the truck overnight. His troubleshoot scanner shows no error codes during the diagnostic test. I said OK I will leave it overnight. He then went on to say I could not do that either as he has to wait for some kind of "bulletin" from that only other Nissan Titan with the same problem. I thought Sheesh do they not want my money or what? Note I did pay them for my new brake job and new wipers. Soooooo...... I went home and looked up every auto repair shop on google and found All star Auto. They had the most 5-Star reviews I have ever seen on any auto repair shop. I took the time and read almost every review (around a thousand) and yes I am retired. In any case I took my truck to them and told them my problem. They took my truck and tried starting it and it started just fine since I got it to start earlier that morning. They said I would have to leave it there overnight to reproduce the starter issue with their test equipment hooked up to it. They also took the time and actually asked a lot of detailed questions about how my truck was acting up (unlike Nissan). They were VERY honest with me and said it might take a few days to find the problem. The problem did not show up on their scanner. No engine codes (just like at the Nissan dealership). They went well beyond what Nissan did in the fact they actually trouble shot my starting problems every morning. They checked the fuel pump, injectors, filters, and basically everything related to my starting issue. They pressure tested, circuit tested and did about everything that you could imagine to troubleshoot the problem. They even said they would not return my truck until it was permanently fixed. They called me each day and kept me in the loop. After a few days they found and repaired the issue (starter relay) and gave me the 50,000 mile warranty on the work performed. And just for the record it has been 15 days and Nissan still hasn't called me with a solution to fix the starter issue (Not that I need it at this point). In short, if you need professional mechanics who actually know what they are doing I highly recommend All Star West Automotive. All my future repairs/ servicing are going to All Star Automotive West, Period! My hats of to Joe, T.H., RJ and Emily.

Comment : Friendly. I only had a safety inspection done And it passed. It was explained to me what other work might need to be done and the basic order that I should take care of it in. I would go to them again.

Comment : I experienced prompt, professional and courteous service in a facility with a separate waiting room that, like the five-bay working space, was clean and orderly. I was appraised of the status of my repair in a timely manner with no surprises when I went to pay. And it is an easy walk to the county library and offers a shuttle service.

Comment : I recently had new tire put on my car. The tires were resonably priced and put on the next day. I also suspected that I needed at least one new rear shock absorber and possibly some other part(s) as well. Joe went for a ride with me and put the car up on the rack. We found out I had some mount problems with the shock as well. The parts came in and the car was fixed in short order. It now drives like it did five years ago when I first got it. Thanks to All Star.
