Comment : Business was asked to give a quote on a specific repair.
Instead performed a comprehensive diagnostic on all systems. This included two systems that had been repaired/ replaced recently. When told about this it was explained that it was employee error. Yet it was the head technician that completed the diagnostic.
The specified repair asked for was given a quote to replace the entire system and not just the part that was damaged.
The cost to fix everything equaled over five thousand dollars. When brought to the managements attention the response was that all did not need to be completed now but was performed to help customers know their options. If you have ever received one of these diagnostics, the wording is set to give fear for life if not completed at once.
The specified (asked for) fix was explained that for warranty purposes ALL components had to be replaced, leading one to believe that if not fixed as was recommended that what was fixed was NOT warrantied. This would be a false statement.
Fixers beware that this business prays on people with little to no mechanical knowledge. Plus fear of being left stranded so to complete all recommendations that are written as NEEDS. The kicker is that the first thing a customer gets when receiving the quote by text is an option to finance the fix.
I still paid $150 for a diagnostic I did not ask for plus two dead batteries for bringing my diesel to Master Tec.

Comment : My son in law used to take care of all my auto needs , but after he passed away , I needed to find someone else. I went to master auto tech and for the last couple of years , i've had quite a bit of work done on my automobile as it is old and has a lot of miles. I am a widow living on a fixed income. My car broke down on the highway , and so I had a towed to master auto tech thinking that they would give me good service at a reasonable price. When they finally got back to me , they said the part I needed would be three thousand dollars. It was over the holidays and so I told my grandson about it and he said , find out exactly what part you need, i did and he look it up online and he said it's between four hundred dollars and four hundred and fifty dollars. He went in and got my car and got it totally fixed and running for less than eight hundred dollars. It's time for my oil change, but I will not go back to master auto as I now know that they were not completely honest with me. I will look for a new place to take my car

Comment : Honest and friendly people who do good work. Others said they couldn't do the full service for my Allison transmission. Called Master Autotech and they could do the whole thing and get me in at a reasonable time.

Comment : I just can’t believe how much they take advantage of people here. I went there expecting to receive great help as I have a neurological condition that slows me down a great deal. The service people were not very kind to me and I think they overcharged me for my break pads please look into another shop if you need work done.
