Comment : They know so much about automobiles, not just transmissions each time I have gone to Amco in Norfolk, Virginia. The service has been friendly and very knowledgeable about what is wrong with my car. I couldn’t ask for better service. They are fantastic.

Comment : We took our 82 Blazer to Chris and his people did a great job with the transmission and transfer case. They also did my 99 Blazer a couple of years ago and did an excellent job on that.
Chris is who I trust and recommend when all of our customers from have transmission problems. My dad has been dealing with Chris for a long time.
Dad opened this shop 50 years ago Dec 1975.
I do appreciate Lee and Ann at the front desk, I can relate to what they experience. We all try to do the best we can.
Thank you Chris and gang.

As someone who (unfortunately) frequently visits many mechanics for many years, this is probably the most unnecessarily defensive experience I've had. Ended up scheduling another appointment (LOL) elsewhere because of it, and won't be returning. Sorry to the mechanics there, they seemed great, and thank you for taking a look at my car for me.'>

Comment : Won't return. Mechanics were super chill, front desk guy was strange. When I asked about making an appointment after they diagnosed my issue, he became defensive and patronizing, saying they don't set up appointments, "look at all these jobs I already have", etc. I was worried maybe I accidentally came across as hostile, so I tried to subtly clarify I wasn’t upset, but he didn't change. The customer behind me was also confused by his attitude change. Happened again when I tried to get my car fixed. I don't mind them not being able to see me or me not being able to set up an appointment like normal. I DO mind the frustratedness, patronizing, and defensiveness when I'm being cool.

Comment : Chris was very attentive to inquiring of my truck’s problems. He asked questions to ensure he recorded accurately the problems as I stated. Lee gave me full details of my truck’s problems after my truck was test driven. Lee gave me the cost to solve each problem. I told him I will call him back. I was told the problems of my truck within the day of me bringing in my truck. The next day, when the shop opened, I authorized the repairs to my truck. My truck was repaired that day and I picked up my truck the same day of repairs. Chris and Lee are very professional and kind.
