I had work done on my vehicle, and less than an hour after leaving the shop, it was suddenly no longer drivable and ended up being totaled. There is no reasonable explanation for how quickly things went wrong after their service. When I called the shop, they were defensive, dismissive, and completely unwilling to take any responsibility or even properly discuss the situation. What made this even worse was what I witnessed while waiting. Another customer was there complaining that they had kept her car for over a week. A technician came out and admitted he had made a mistake that caused further delays. During that conversation, he openly said he does work ?cheaply? and that mistakes often happen, implying customers end up paying more later because of those mistakes. Hearing that directly from their staff was extremely concerning. Between my own experience and what I saw firsthand, this shop comes across as careless, unprofessional, and not trustworthy. I would strongly warn anyone against bringing their vehicle here unless you?re willing to risk more damage and higher costs in the long run.

Comment : Saw a promotion on the AAA Facebook page offering a Free Synthetic Oil Change and thought it was too good to be true. It is for real and all I had to pay for the extra oil needed over the 5 quarts included and the taxes and fees. They also did a full inspection and found that my battery was getting low and was still under warranty and they replaced that at no charge. They also pointed out a few other issues that needed attention soon. I recommend this location highly. Great customer service. Very friendly and attentive.

Comment : They tried to overcharge me for a tire then didn’t communicate before they closed for the day. I took it to Luke’s down the street and they ended up patching it and saved me $405!

Comment : Rose at the front desk is the only person at this branch that cares and will do her best to make sure you’re not getting taken advantage of.
However the reason you will get taken for a ride at this location is because of the technicians. The technicians are only concerned about lining their pockets and will use your ignorance to their advantage to sell you jobs you don’t need done. Thankfully I know what’s going on with mine so it didn’t work.

(My water pump failed so I got a tow here. When I called they had this laundry list of what they wanted to do - oil change, spark plugs, valve cover gasket, tire rotations, it was crazy and went on and on. I do most of the repairs and all maintenance on my car so I knew all these were mostly upsells. For obvious reasons I instantly do not trust shops that do this. So I towed it again to my house and bought the parts from the dealership and am doing it myself. You don’t need to go through this. Save your money and put your car where it will be cared for honestly not treated as a cash cow.)

So obviously do not go in here even if it’s an emergency tow. Go anywhere else - I trust the AAA Grandview location or Payne’s Service on Indianola. Good luck everyone.

Comment : Held my vehicle for 2 days before they’d even look at it. Tried to get me to replace fuel pump, When it was really that the Gas gauge was stuck. No repairs were made and diagnosis was cut short due to a lack of professionalism from technicians and staff. At one point I can recall an employee yelling across the lobby “get their money” from the first interaction with the “lead technician” every interaction with staff grew more hostile until I called for a new tow truck so I could take my car home and diagnose and fix the issue in my driveway. I want to drive home the point that No repairs were necessary and you tried charging me 1,500 for work that didn’t need to be done and incorrectly diagnosed this work (which wasn’t free either) this was by far the least professional and worst service I have ever received from a shop. I have never had my last words leaving a shop be curse words until this day.
